Angel heart is still one of the GREATEST movies of all time. Mickey Rourke is a LEGEND.
I love Mickey to death. He's just so awesome.
Mickey Rourke's performance in Angel Heart is absolutely mesmerizing! Oscar Worthy Performance!
One of the badesst movies ever made
I KNOW WHO I AM! KNOW WHO I AM!!!!
I gotta thing about chickns!
Heavy movie. Great acting all around.
I really wanted to like that movie but found it boring
I like how Tyson just sits back and listens. Then he says what he has to say and then chills.
hahaha i like your comment!
I agree about Mike becoming chilled.
A Stunt in jail will humble a lot of people, although it took 20 more years, I respect what Mike has become, His own man. Shit he's light years ahead of me!
Avicenna 2012 after taking a heavy puff on that giant join 😂🤣😂👍
He is the boss no matter who comes on there
He's high 😆 in the fire 🔥
I love this “new” Mike Tyson, he seems finally at peace with himself and the show is great too
I prefer the sober version.
He seems high as a bat
He looks really high
Man that nigga is at peace with himself and one with the heavens homie blazed
He's stoned to death
I love these men. Especially when they talk about inner demons and shame. Very beautiful and honest.
I had something of an epiphany at 6:19. I was brought up the same way and you don't have any sense of self-worth growing up. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to Box or do Martial Arts, which I do now. People that physically abuse kids ruin them.
@@tomdonahue4224 I hear y bro. All people who went thru that should have more support
Unlike Mickey's reconstructed face...
Tyson's boxing IQ and history knowledge is just phenomenal.
Seriously!!!
There is no such thing as a boxing IQ.
It is just an IQ 🤣
dude it’s tyson of course his boxing IQ is phenomenal 🤦♂️
Tyson has watched film from every fight from every boxer since the 1800s, plus he was trained by the legendary Cus De'Amato. He's got unreal boxing IQ.
Mike is a scholar of boxing
It's good to see rourke again, tyson got the best guests...
Everyone fucks with IronMike and everyone has a story about him. This podcast is going to go far I think
Thats the good thing about this podcast... that mike has some personal connection with the guest.
Mike isn't only a legend, he's also a historian . Smart Man gotta love him... @MikeTyson
Eban is such a great interviewer. Very calm and relaxed, never buts in and allowes the guest to speak.
Hes a fantastic sports man in his own right, but he knows Mike is the star with the guest pulling power.
But he asks the questions and keeps everything humming.
Good work..
I totally agree. Great duo. Great show
Not like mike in logan pauls podcast
Good weed do marvelous things with your brain
Great blocker too, loved him with the Jags. Gone too soon, thank you Mr. Britton
@@eXpas04 Not like Jamie in Joe Rogan's podcast.
Everybody should go see Bullet with Mickey Rourke and Tupac. Classic
@Jim Newcombe The movie was written by Mickey Rourke and Bruce Rubenstein tho, not a remake of any sorts as far as i know
@Jim Newcombe You should def check out this one, he does a great job
Great movie
@Jim Newcombe Bullitt = McQueen
Bullet = Rourke & Tupac
Not even close to the same film or name.
Yea bullet (Mickey Rourke) was one of his more unknown characters
But he embodied a jewish convict lost in drug addiction to pure perfection. Im bout ta slap it in the PS now as a matter of fact.
This is the best podcast to come around since jre
Agree jre and hotboxin top podcasts hands down
@skankhunt42 Bro, I'm working for the CIA. You better keep quiet.....
JRE used to be good but lost a lot of respect for him since he had the guest on trashed Tyson Fury and Rogan didn't pull him up on it.
@@electroflux He has alot of flunks on. He lies, avoids critical topics & is a certified zionist gatekeeper. Fury & Mike are the only ones I've listened to for afew years now. TheHigherSideChats podcast is a must.

“I know who I am!!!” Mickey Rourke in Angel heart...this dude was set to be the next Brando--that’s how good he was as an actor.
Still is a great actor
That was a great film very atmospheric
Angel heart a very underrated film it has everything Rourke was outstanding
oh.. it's THAT Mickey Rourke
One of the greatest movies of all time and definitely one of the best actors. I met Mickey in Chicago in 99 and expected him to be a dick but he couldn't have been any cooler. We talked for almost 45 min about a ton of heavy stuff. Loved his acting but my opinion of him personally changed that day. He hates all the typical Hollywood bullshit.
Mickey Rourke is as real as they come. Love the interview Mike!
except for the absolutely laughable plastic surgery
@@rickyrick9328 haa the man had some kind of break down. Apparently movie industry full of fakes drove him into boxing, and fucked his face up. He obviously got some bad recommendations for plastic surgeons when he decided he wanted back into acting again.
yes he is sure the real deal he is the most humble honest kind tough but yet sweet compassionate actors on the planet
Mike Tyson is a straight beast. I never saw a more devastating and intense boxer EVER. Legend.
MT furious & ferocious in the ring ...I must admit , I would always pull for the underdog but pretty much knew that the match would be over in a matter or minutes or should I say seconds lol
I met Mickey when I was young at the 18th Avenue feast. He was nice to me and I will never forget that, I am forever a fan.👍👍
👍🏾
I met him a few times.
Who's that guy with the big fat beat up face?
That's dope
He was awesome guy, after I knocked the MFer out, he lightened up. Sometimes you have to humble these ppl. Chuck is lucky he minded his own business.
Mickey Rourke is the best actor dude the wrestler is one of my favorite movies. He freaking nailed it so much he is so fantastic as an actor literally so cool.
I really love Mike and Mickey. They have both battled a lot of demons in their life but like true warriors they just keep on fighting on. Mike also knows that we are made up of pure energy and love, especially after his experience with DMT (the spirit molecule). Cool stuff.
All these guys went through hard times and obstacles to get here very proud of them....
nycityman18 What a sweet message. Appreciate this-
@@dbk9761 Thank you and god bless you stay safe....
Mickey is 100 % entertainer in all pod castes!
You guys have good chemistry and uplifting energy..
Hope they get Mickey Rourke back for a long podcast him and Mike would have some great stories
True story. I was a bouncer in nyc in the mid 2000s. I was driving home from a club I worked at and I was at a stop light. Light turn green and the car in front did not go. I gave it a few seconds and the car still didnt move. I honked, nothing. So I'm yelling out the window to the driver to go. Still at the light, guess who's walking down the block at 5am with 2 friends. Mickey fucking Rourke. He walks up to the car and I'm sure hes hammered, probably coked up too. He start yelling expletives while walking closer to my vehicle. He gets to my passenger door because I was in the passenger seat. I get out and go to punch him not realizing who he is. I go to swing and in mid punch, I realize its Mickey fucking Rourke. So I put my arm down and yelled its Mickey fucking Rourke. He realized, that I realized who he was and he hugs and kisses me on the cheek. We start laughing, I shook his hand and we went on about are business. One of the best experiences of my life. It was dope. I will never forget it. Mickey fucking Rourke! Be Water Yo.
Awesome story. Mickeys a fuckin badass
@Aramis Y r u gae?
@Aramis get a life. I had a friend in Chevy checkers through his son daud. Who unfortunately are both no longer with us so stop trying to be a jerk. I also had a hate friendship with souldja boy we played games together when gears 2 was out. So it's not that far fetched to meet someone. Who we meet in life is not always our choice just be glad that sometimes it's a blessing. Fuck Soulja boy by the way. I also played gears with ice t a few times but he was always annoyed by me cuz I cared to much about winning. So I woke up one day and he was no longer on my friends list. The few famous people I gamed with was because I was sponsored to play on pro gears teams when that and halo where mlg. And my mom is friends with some Dave guy who books shows for rock bands so she knows rush. I used to drink in mountain top with a drummer from some rock band that was big in the 2000s. I used to drink with vanilla ice at a bar in Wilkes Barre. He was paid to come hang out. him and the dude with the big clock necklace hung out at the same bar I forgot his name he is a fucking riot to hang with. Obviously no one Iet I am actually friends with but the checkers. Unfortunately I never got to meet anyone I was like an actual fan of but we are all just people in the end.
Thanks for the cool story bro. I would have been scared as fuck if Micky wanted to beat my ass lol.
Such a bullshit story that never happend lol clown 🤡
Great session. Mike and Mickey are like brothers from another mother. They have a lot in common and it's awesome to see them both on the other side of their troubles sharing stories, true humility and wisdom.
Everyone who's usually difficult to interview is so well behaved with Tyson
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He’s friends with most of them
who are you talking about, wtf?
Mike Tyson the humblest podcaster in the game.
100% actually let's the conversation flow and makes the podcast more fluid, he only talks to add and only buts in with intelligent conversation, he realizes the podcast isn't centered around him just because it's promoted on his name, other podcasts don't understand that.
True. He didn't need to assert himself to show who is the boss. Just chime in with a insightful comment , so powerful that it felt like the famous Tyson upper cut hit on TV. And amazing timing too, whenever he chose to chime in.🙏💪👍
Depends on how stoned Mike is. The more stoned he is the less he allows the interview to flow, watch the Eminem interview. I love Mike don't me wrong. A lot of people struggle with social cues once they're high though so it's understandable.
ROURKEs finest movie in my opinion was angel heart. A classic private investigator/horror movie. Amazing ACTING. Legend
Agree 100% that angel heart is his best, saw that in the theater in the 80’s (again last month on NetFlix) - Taught by Eli Kazan. I wish Rourke had stayed on the acting track. Very underrated actor.
Pope
Carr Rexx liked him in that too, it was close for me. I watched them both in the last year.
@@mattcastellanos2178 Yes, in previous interviews he said that was his favorite movie. I met Mickey at the Las Angeles Sports Arena, Duran vs Cuevas fight. Mickey just made Diner. No one around him, I walked up with my little brother and introduced myself. What a humble soft spoken gentleman. I love the Wrestler. Cheers
One of my all time favorite lines from the movies is in Angelheart. It's when Rourke's character realizes that De Niro's character's name -- Louis Cypher -- is another name for the devil. De Niro responds: I had to use that name because New Yorkers have trouble pronouncing "Mephistophiles."
Angel heart, what a performance by Mickey rourke, the wrestler, brilliant as well .
That movie sends chills......
@@raineyj560 absolutely.. same here... mickey has incredible Presense...comes across in all his movies and has gotton more so with age
The Pope of Greenwich Village, his best, my top 5 favorites of all and anyone's movies. You have to listen because what's said now, is going to fit in later, watch the little things too. Very well written and fantastic acting. You'll watch it multiple times and pick up stuff you missed.
Get Carter anyone? 👍🇬🇧
Classic bro, both movies.
Mickey Rourke tells it like it is, he doesn't hold back and he's telling it from his heart God Bless Him.
Tyson must be a really humble guy to listen to Rourke talk about boxing
Morris Crow uKno..?! 😂😂😂
Fact
Rourke was a real boxer too tho. So .. . Fuck off?
i thought the same thing.
why "humble"? Rourke was a very good boxer.. Mike is not pretending to respect him.
Guest on the show: "I just got diagnosed with cancer"
Evan: "Wow that's awesome, man"
Lmao seriously
"I totally get that, man."
😂😂😂 nice voice tho
asap bruhhh or , “no doubt maannn”
Hilarious
I love how Tyson hangs back and lets Micky just tell his story, he such a calm guy now, inspirational and a legend still
18:27 "Bruce Willis was the bartender, he was a nobody then"
Mickey Rourke: "He should *STILL* be the Bartender!"
Pure savagery.
Willis had both acting and singing talent superior to Rourke Rourke had good looks, which he squandered by trying to be a boxer.
@@matsumoku1 I disagree. Bruce Willis is a mediocre actor. Mickey Rourke has had his moments.
@@DesertScorpionKSA I disagree, while Bruce Willis ain't no Al Pacino hes played his roles well. Whos Mickey Rourke again. Can't think of anything hes been in that stood out.
@@danieljessop7140 Mickey Rourke won widespread critical acclaim for his role in "The Wrestler." He was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor in a leading role and won multiple awards for his acting in this movie, including a Golden Globe and BAFTA Award. Bruce Willis, on the other hand, has never been even close to being so admired by his peers.
Iron mike is still a damn legend! 🤟🏻 best boxer EVER
Barfly is one of my favorites from Micky. Highly underrated film.
Bukowski
Great film.
Bukowski wasn't happy with that movie, though.
To all my friends
Yeah but every writer hates their movie adaptation. Too many artistic liberties and compromises for run time. With that said, Barfly was fuckin awesome.
I watched “Bullet” at a very impressionable age, Mickey’s character always stuck in my mind. He’s the real deal.
He deserved the Oscar and a half for his performance on the Wrestler movie, great actor.

Mike Tyson has to be the hardest hitting fighter I ever saw. Iron Mike Tyson. Perfect name. I'm so glad I found this channel. If you never saw the best of Mike Tyson s fights on RUclips ,gotta watch. He blows you away, you will watch it twice it's so good
I want to get some of his weed ,partly just to save the containers it's packaged in. Plus some of the best weed you can get
Your still my fav Mike.
I could not imagine my life without all those great fights.
I still watch when I want to feel young again.
People sit together and talk about past is freaking fascinating!
Imagine running with this crew in the early 80's.
It's an experience watching Mike Tyson listening to people's story's, he could tell the story of the world and he has had a front row seat and been the main actor , but he's a great host and is genuinely interested in his guests adventures, top class .uk fan
Mike does it again..... Mickey Rouke classic 💯💯💯
do u want a medal ?
Daveyboy _ medal for what? Fuck is you talking bout!!!
This podcast has been pretty great to an old-school west coast Tupac fan. Mickey rourke's picture should be next to the definition of friend in Merriam-Webster's Dictionary. Two decades after the passing of Tupac Shakur he'll still defend his name against any slight. Never had a friend like Mickey
100% Loyalty
Jason Hobb does he address Tupac in this podcast? I watched and didn’t see anything
TheRealist 811 thanks homie 🤙🏻
You gotta love Mickey Rourke ....How cool is this guy.!!!!
It truly is amazing how people pull them themselves out hard times and manage to make a life for themselves, but not just a life , a very successful life. Well done Mickey and mike...
Rourke is the only guy to ever act Nicholson off the screen. Simply and easily one of the best. Ever.
I clicked on this one so damn fast! Rourke is a legend! Such a badass guy! Now I am gonna enjoy the interview
Cool 😎
Mike & Mickey ...old school famous men.
Man Mickey Rourke's words about getting tough not having to look everyone in the eye then shedding the armor hit me......
This is a great podcast, just a bunch of people shooting the shit; no b.s. and no drama - I love the laid back conversations.
Damn, Mickey is looking more and more like his own character in Sin City, especially in this black and white camera.
LMAO I WAS THINKING THE SAME!!
Haha 😂 😂 😂
The more I looked at Mickey in this interview I thought he looks likes the great actor, Wallace Berry, from the movie 'The Champ' way way back in the 30's or 40's won an Oscar for it.
Yeah I agree Mick also looks like his character from Sin City
he busted up his face boxing when he was young. The plastic surgery was supposed to fix the damage from fighting but he looks like a different person at this age
Mickey, we love you brother and I totally understand going through that kind of pain. I had older people take advantage of me when I was only 12 . Twice. And there's nothing worse than your role model calling you a liar when you go to them and tell them what happened to you, you know? I pray for peace for you brother until you go to that best place .
hes such a humble kind man hes tough yes but you need to be in this world but hes one of the realest straight up cool actors in the industry the world needs more mickey rourke movies
Mike had a relationship with everybody in Hollywood. Dammmm!!
I’m a big Mike Tyson Fan. And, I’m equally as big of fan of Mickey Rourke.
I met both of them. But, my experience with Mickey Rourke is far more vast. I grew up in Brooklyn. One of my closest friends, Thomas ... a human that belonged in the ranks of the likes of Tyson and Rourke. He was destined for fame. When we were 14-15-16 years old, he found a way to be a Guardian Angel. Wore the red beret etc. He was a real dude, but just innately knew how to fight.
As we grew older, he ended up being a bossy guard for Mickey Rourke. This happened during a time when Mickey was very close with Tupac. They were doing a movie called “Bullet”. So, Thomas was always with Rourke and Tupac.. so, I’d always be meeting up with them in NYC.
Unfortunately Tupac and Thomas died in similar fashion. Tho, my friend Thomas was an Unintended victim. Anyway.. Rourke remained very very good to my friends Mother.. still periodically calls her. Good dude.
Tell us what Tupac was like. Any stories you have of being with him?
@@BobBobOnRUclips he was a very cool dude. He was truly indifferent to color. I only say that because, I truly marveled at his genuine disposition. My friend Thomas liked to drive fast.. very fast.. way too fast. On the way home from Manhattan one night we were exiting through the Battery tunnel. Thomas notoriously drove fast every time we went through it. So, I always psychology prepared myself for the fear I was about to endure. Tupac was in the front seat. Thomas got up to 120-130mph, put the car in cruise control, lit up a joint and started staring with his feet. Tupac was like “bruuuuuuhh wtf r u doing??? In a panic mode. Thomas laughed and continued, while the traffic lights that lined the tunnel wizzzzzed by. Tupac was panicking .. lololol Me? I’ve been through it many times before. I would just lay down across the seats in the back and pray to myself. I also knew, the more I begged him to slow down, the faster he went. When we exited the tunnel we had already significantly slowed down. Tupac was like.. “you white boys r crazy.. we all laughed”. My friend Thomas was destined for stardom.. he was just one of those people.. just like Tupac.. that’s why Tupac dug him so much. Thomas did over 300 skydives. Was an incredible snow and water skier. Snow mobiles.. would switch gears on a rice burner while he pulled wheelies .. knew advanced karate.. fished all over the world.. and being totally honest.. was one of the best looking dudes you’ll ever see in your life. He just had “it”. (I’m a healthy and normal heterosexual) if we were in a club, every girl liked him. But, he would never abuse a woman.always a gentleman. Always smiling. Always in a good mood. A great friend. I miss him big time. Google Thomas Maranga, Tupac Shakur, Bullet .. or just Thomas Maranga..
The story of Mickey waiting 10 years for a table by the window is awesome! what a great humun being mickey is. ;-)
Rouke is a sound dude and this interview has changed my perception of him.
