INSIDE THE ANCIENT EGYPTIAN TOMBS OF THE NOBLES! ASWAN - EGYPT

- !!!THE FIRST FULL DOCUMENTARY ON RUclips!!!
Let's explore the wonderfully preserved Old Kingdom and Middle Kingdom Tombs of the Nobles on the western bank of the Nile in Aswan. The majority of these ancient burials were prepared for the officials and governors of the Sixth Dynasty of Egypt / Dynasty VI and the Twelfth Dynasty, so they were built THREE to FOUR THOUSANDS years ago!
Let’s check out why and how these ancient tombs differ from each other. Join me to uncover what impact the collapse of the Old Kingdom, the First Intermediate Period (Egyptian ‘dark age’), and the rise of the Middle Kingdom had on the architecture and decoration of some of the best Egyptian tombs.
The archeological site is officially called the Tombs of the Nobles in Aswan or Qubbet el-Hawa.
Come with me and get inside ancient Egyptian tombs: the tomb of Harkhuf, the tomb of Sarenput I, the tomb of Sarenput II, the tomb of Mekhu and Sabni and many more.
Let’s get to know more about the ancient history, beliefs, and architecture of ancient Egypt!
Explored in February 2022.

I’m blown away every time ! Excellent video !
Thank you so much! 🤗
Very interesting, thanks!
Thank you very much
In many ways these tombs are more interesting than royal tombs as they are somewhat normal people and more relatable. I don't find the bones n skulls creepy at all. Let's face it, that is the fate that awaits us all. They are still excavating and finding burials now at this site. Great stuff AS....really enjoyed that. FOOTNOTE: there are snakes there so be careful poking around in shafts.
Thank you! :) luckily, I haven't seen any snakes, but too many bats 🦇 🙄😅. I've seen mummies, skulls, and bones etc. in museums but this was a different experience. Having human remains literally under your nose might be, at first, quite uncomfortable. 🤷♀️
@@ancientsitesgirl Thanks for reply AS 👍

Dziękuję, bardzo miły komentarz ❤
To ja dziękuję i wręcz czekam na więcej 😊❤️
I sometimes wonder if the natives of north-east Africa found these sites and used them for burying their dead and adding their carvings etc. Aside from that I think Irina is brilliant and opens up a world of discussion.
Thank you very much! :)
later Egyptian Christians definitely reused tombs and temples as churches and holy sites (in general, idk about here in particular)
are you talking about other groups other than Egyptians?
Hi, frist of all i want it to say thanks for visiting my city land as well, and the videos which I'm down watched is really amazing, n more information if you like to know about my grown up city is in the history
Which each one of us know, Aswan is a Nubian city in the south of Egypt located on the east bank of the Nile river connected to Cairo with train stations, railways and domestic flights, its the population almost about 900,000, The city of Aswan is about 85 meters above sea level, it is 879 km from Cairo, and its area about 34,608 km2.
Thank you for your feedback and yes, Aswan, is truly amazing! :)
Who do you travel with that holds your camera?
this is one of your best videos so far. I hope the pyramid of hawara is on your list to show too.
Thanks! Of course, I plan to visit the pyramids of the Middle Kingdom

just found your channel from a comment the other day, what a fantastic find, the videos remind me of that sort of awe and wonder i had when i was way younger and first learning about ancient egypt, as i dont really see much footage of inside these places elsewhere

Hi... I love you vlogs.. So from one year you are exploring in Egypt?
Thank you! I have been going to Egypt for years, and for a year I have been filming my travels ;)
@@ancientsitesgirl Thanks for the reply.. Wow... So one years you making film about ancient Egypt . That's really cool . In 2017-2018 I have visited in Egypt for six months and I think it's not enough for me..lol... so soon will plan to visit Egypt again .
@@nomadshah4u-artistandworld612 Half a year! I envy you. Winter trips to Egypt are also not enough for me. One day I will stay there!
@@ancientsitesgirl Well I haven't seen your any videos from northern Egypt like Alexandria... I realy love Alexandria becouse of very different compare then rest of Egypt . Because Alexandria has Arab , Pharaonic , Roma and Greek fusion Also about Medatariean arer.
@@nomadshah4u-artistandworld612 I've never been there. Maybe next time I'll visit Alexandria, delta and Sinai for the first time
I always wondered how these great ancient Egyptians dug into these hard rocks to build these huge tombs? What tools they used to do so
I wonder what else they will discover... It is a miracle that any tools have survived to our times,
I assume these sites were there before them and they made use of them
@@turtleswim05 how come?
These tunnels are so tidy and with many rooms that are indeed a man made not due to a nature event absolutely

Todos vídeos seus são maravilhoso
Thank you!
Great video . As all of course but I liked very much that tombs !! Didn’t know them . First time saw a video of them . And in a great view of the river !!! Sadly I saw many empty bottles etc in the tombs . Did they not clean there ?? In one tomb it was Jesus Christ not an Apostole . And wow it is so easy to go inside alone . There are and bones . Did they not been afraid of stealing them ???
Thanks! It could have been one of the evangelists, he holds the bible.
@@ancientsitesgirl maybe . But mainly Jesus holds the bible . It is open in front of him . Apostoles have the bible in the side of them
@@ancientsitesgirl and as I saw the place it was the holy ground of the church . Where the priest goes inside . There is mainly Jesus
I can't get over how astonishingly good your documentaries on these ancient sites actually are. Do you have a degree in ancient history or something?
I've missed a few, because my stupid RUclips notifications don't always work properly. I usually listen to things at low res (discussions, hangouts, comedy etc), while I play MMOs, but with yours I shall have to make another play list and watch them all properly in hi res.
Thank you so much.
{:-:-:}
Thank you sooo much! Ancient history is only my hobby/passion, but each episode equals dozens of hours of reaserch. :) thank you again and if it helps, I divided all episodes into 3 playlists - Greece, Turkey, and Egypt :)
@@ancientsitesgirl
Cheers, I love them all, but particularly Egypt. Especially when there is still colour in the art work. I made a playlist of the last 4 months, but fell asleep half way through! It was very late. I will watch them all again later.
Maybe that will give more "engagement" on your channel, because you deserve to be up in the hundreds of thousands. When I think of frauds like Fright Inshyte and UneducatedX getting zillions of views for their fraudulent charlatanry and hogwash about aliens and Atlantis, it is so annoying!
Ancient Architects used to be a bit like that, with his _never was a tomb_ and _"probably much older"_ at the end of every video and whacky ideas about the ancient world. But he has improved a lot over the last year or two, since he started watching World of Antiquity. He got slated by the Conspiritards, so kudos to him for changing his ideas in the face of actual, verifiable evidence.
{:-:-:}
Egypt is a mysterious place
So true!
Your videos are so enjoyable and informative. This sort of content is difficult to find from the professionals now; they seem more interested in fake drama. You fill a void by providing historical information in a style that is pleasant to watch. You also show us so much more of what we would actually see at these sites in person. Thank you!
Thank you so much!! 🌹
I've been to Cairo but it appears that them tombs in Aswan might be much older !

It's just terrible to see trash laying around such an amazing place 🤨

Ciekawi mnie - jak długo przygotowujesz aię do komentowania filmu? Podejżewam, że proces edytowania zajmuje ci wiele czasu.Te egipskie zabytki są ciekawsze - .bardziej widowiskowe.
Dzięki za komentarz. Kiedyś liczyłam i komentarz do filmu, czyli nagranie, napisanie tekstu i znalezienie źródeł to ok. 25-30 godzin. Edycja filmu podobnie. :)
Well done investigation and I'm amazed you were able to provide so many details about the people that used/built those tombs, despite being in such a bad condition. There's a large gazelle before you pointed to the little one, I had no idea they were also present in that area, or could they be another animal?
I also wonder that with so many bones, if the tombs were used to leave bodies from wars or plagues for avoiding the spread of diseases... Could those baskets have been used to collect the remains scattered everywhere after being scavenged?
Thank you! These tombs had more than one "life" I guess....
Representing bkack people not futile land..
Muito triste ver plástico em todo o lado, deixando pelos turistas 😢
I'm sorry I don't understand.
Plastic left by the tourists in beautiful places.. Sad
Oh, thanks for translation. :) yes, it is sad, but luckily there's a change going on in Egypt. The amount of rubbish not only inside the ancient sites, but also in the cities is visibly decreasing. 🙂
The trash thrown everywhere is despicable !
That's the problem...
Copper chisels and tools ..eh ? Especially on the granite !
