It's interesting how Johnny and Porker become gradually more anthropomorphic as the series went on. Aside from getting taller and wearing clothes, Porker even swaps his two toed trotters for humanoid hands, fingers and feet somehow. Eventually all animal characters would get human bodies and clothes, including Amy Johnny, Porker and Tekno, which makes the other lead characters look really strange by comparison since Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Mighty, Espio, Vector and Shorty still have rounded bodies and are naked.
I never knew about how dark, gritty and game-accurate the Fleetway comics were. It's like SATAM but even darker and MUCH closer to the games. Actually there is an issue that details Dr. Robontik's final fate I discovered. It's Issue 275. Pretty much Porker has created a device that can siphon negative chaos energy from beings. This results in a final showdown against Super Sonic and Dr. Robotnik. The resulting fight ends with Super Sonic dying, Sonic being healed of any remaining influence he had, Dr. Robotnik being removed from Kintobor's body and having his spirit trapped in the Kintobor Computer, and Kintobor returning. The comic ends with Robotnik swearing revenge as he's trapped in the computer. He's confronted by Kintobor who presses a mute button to shut him up. Then hits the computer shut down button thus killing Robotnik and finally putting a permanent end to Kintobor's dark side. The comic is called Exit: Sonic. It's so satisfying to finally see Robotnik defeated. And by his good half no less.

So that's how he got the nickname Eggman? Because he tripped and squashed a rotten egg on the device that was using the emeralds to drain evil from the planet? Okay putting aside the rings of questions that could be asked about the strange energy conduction properties of eggs. Doesn't that imply at the very start that moebius itself is inherently a planet that radiates evil energy meaning that there must be something at the core of the world that's permeating it consistently with the essence of evil and destruction. Which would mean that the entire point of trying to absorb that evil into the crystals is meaningless because that evil would be infinite unless its original source of omission was destroyed. All this trouble all this Warfare all problems stem back to a clumsy man and a rotten hard boiled egg? This is so stupid and puerile, and... and, oh God, this makes more sense than it really has any right to do so!
As someone generally unfamiliar with the Sonic The Comic lore, thought this was really interesting. You have a really nice narration voice, also. What was the song that comes in at 18:33 - ? It's a bop, but I don't know which game it's from.
I had a few comics, but the series I read was completely different. This recap of the "Fleetway" Sonic was fun! I don't follow the comics, but I am very familiar with the original genesis games. I was very surprised to see that this series follows the narrative of Sonic 2, 3, sonic and knuckles, and sonic CD. It was surprisingly faithful and did a great job tying the narratives together. This series had all the important story beats but also blended in about as much original events and characters that kept it interesting. Not sure about that song... the Guitar gives me "Sonic adventure- Battle" vibes. Definitely a newer sonic (from Dreamcast or later), if not a remix or from another game series. Sorry *shrugs*

I really appreciate comments like this, I'm glad you enjoyed watching. Part 2 is in the works right now, probably 60% complete so I hope you'll come back and check it it out once its uplaoded. The track your also after is Hang Castle from Sonic Heroes.
You know, i love SatAM Robotnik, but this one... it's like if you took AoSTH Robotnik, scooped out most, if not all, of that silliness, and replaced it with the seriousness of SatAM Robotnik. I honestly don't know which one is more menacing. As a matter of fact, to anyone who reads this, which one do you think is more terrifying/menacing, STC Robotnik, or SatAM Robotnik?
I feel like the leader of the carnival bros could have still saved it if he just started acting scared (easy since knuckles in a situation like this would be terrifying) and start yelling and talking in a panic asking what the mister red white and blue said discreetly telling him to say he made a deal with robotnik to make the Amusement a reality then be very scared and apologetic to knuckles claiming he had no idea his brother would do something like that, he could let knuckles go and then alert eggman to what happened, he'd be mad but I can see the leader of the bros managing to convince eggman that if anything does go wrong he will still have a foothold on the island without knuckles knowing. I think that could make for some interesting interaction.
I was just wondering next time when you do a video can you do an audio version of all 223 issues of sonic the comic one at a time. Not all in one video. Have a good day.
Besides, if it does happen, he’ll only get up to, I believe, Issue 188 at the end the Sonic Adventure Arc. The remaining issues included reprints of earlier stories.
I like these comic stories/lore better than the overrated IDW comics currently being made. I am a huge fan of the Archie stories and SatAM but I now see how this comic seems to have the same dark story theme as the Archie comics. It’s so neat seeing the origins of both Sonic and Robotnik. Yes, Robotnik, not Eggman, Zoomers… Also just realized, Kintobor is Robotnik spelled backwards. Another thing I just thought of, were the games inspiration for comics? Or were the games inspired by the comics? I think these are so much better than the modern ones. We even learn why Knuckles is against Sonic.

You just earned yourself a subscriber. Can you do the same thing for the Archie comics Robotnik?
Unfortunately he doesn’t do Archie on this channel but he has more videos on other Sonic The Comic characters like Fleetway Sonic and normal Sonic!
Thank you for the support! Glad you enjoyed.
56:48 I guess the floating (or as I like to call it Angel) Island Chaos Emeralds are suppose to be the Super Emeralds
He is kinda like the evil leader with the strong army, i wonder if the freedom fighters are like the rebellion
9:56 can't you still enter the special stage through the sign posts
33:51 I just noticed that Sonic is playing Super Mario World doesn't that conflict with the whole reason he exists
I think Mario said to Sonic if he plays his whole game he will give him the yearly supply of chilli dogs it's one of the most logical reasons to this mystery .
Mobius is one bogus dystopic nightmare without our beloved Princess Sally Acorn.
this video was amazing! and I didn't know how deep the sonic comics were! the narration was also very good, and kept me entertained at all times!!! and the background music great choices.
if anyone can help me what is the song that plays in The Marxio Brothers in 1:26:45 ? I couldn't recognize it!
I really appreciate comments like this, I'm glad you enjoyed watching. Part 2 is in the works right now, probably 60% complete so I hope you'll come back and check it it out once its uplaoded. The track your also after is Hang Castle from Sonic Heroes.
@@SonicTheComic You can be sure I'm looking forward to part 2 always keep up the good work and thanks for answering!! :)
I know you really don’t care about FNF but they added Fleetway Super Sonic to the songs!
At 35:23 Damn Dr.Robotnik could be the next Darkseid or equivalent because that mini planet looks like Apocalypse Darkseids planet. 🙏🏽🤣
The Eggman is watching
Who’s need Sprite when you got green and yellow tails
Grimy is looking rough
1:54 Dr. Eggman was once Dr. Namgge?
In the Top 5 Most Evil Dr Eggmans/Dr Robotniks list: Where would this guy stand at?
1st place.
I was just wondering next time when you do a video can you do an audio version of all 223 issues of sonic the comic one at a time. Not all in one video. Have a good day.
It'll be a lot of work, too much work, YEARS of work, where will he find a cast for the characters
Yes, Robotnik, not Eggman, Zoomers…
Also just realized, Kintobor is Robotnik spelled backwards.
Another thing I just thought of, were the games inspiration for comics? Or were the games inspired by the comics? I think these are so much better than the modern ones. We even learn why Knuckles is against Sonic.
Robotnik revenge is based on sonic the hedgehog 3& knuckles
