Coleman Valdes 4 Fast Pitch Air Tent - First Pitch & Tent Tour

#Review Today, I'm sharing my first ever attempt at pitching the Coleman Valdes 4 Fast Pitch Air Tent, we've been sent to review. I'm also doing a full tent tour once it's pitched. (Skip to 2 mins 50 if you don't want to watch the tent being pitched. I've added some hints and tips I found along the way. Feel free to ask any questions or offer advice below. I am by no means an expert camper, so don't expect miracles!
I opted for the Coleman Valdes 4 Fast Pitch Air Tent because it's a tent I can pitch by myself, so it's perfect for all the solo parent camping adventures I've got planned for the Summer!

The porch is brilliant. I bought a big tarp to go underneath it so that you can keep stuff dry if it rains, and to stop the kids tripping over the straps. I put it under the full tent and the porch for extra warmth in the bedrooms too. Just make sure it’s not sticking out of the tent footprint so rain water doesn’t pool underneath if it’s a wet camp. :-)

Thanks that's a useful tip. Went camping last year and nearly got blown away in gale force winds. My awning blew off and ripped. Will definitely check the weather this year!

I love it. It was used loads in 2019, then unused due to lockdown and injury between 2020-2023. I set it up recently, expecting to find it in an awful state, but it's great. I set it up on my own, and pack up alone too. It's perfect for single parents and young families.

I ended up going with the coleman mosedale pro blackout tent , i had the mosedale before lasted a few years , pole snapped and started to loose its water proofing at the seams . Thats why i had been looking at air tents for the ease to set up on my own. I kmow i cld do the mosedale already and the pro version just has a bit of a porch extentsion on the front so should still be ok to do.
Got it wnd of last year so hopefully when weather clears up il be out this year with it

Has anyone tried this? I have a auto airpump for my car tires. Can I use that?

Hi. No the pump isn’t a standard shape / size so you can’t over inflate it. Honestly though, it’s a 3 minute job to pump it by hand with the included pump so I wouldn’t risk it anyway.

@@TinaBailey Thanks, I was just thinking that pump looks like Plastic. My Car pump is made out of Metal. Know me I break plastic over time. lol

@@prophetseven728 I'm pretty heavy handed too & have broken many a hand pump over the years. This one is pretty sturdy though so far.
(Admittedly it wasn't used last year due to lockdown, but it was used a good 6x in 2019 with no issues).

@@TinaBailey That is a good thing! looking for a good Airbeam tent. I liking the Vango. But if USA makes any great ones. I buy that!
