Taylor Swift sparked fans speculations with her new song, Clara Bow from album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Fans of Swift, referred as 'Swifties' are abuzz with speculation that the last verse of the song might subtly reference fellow singer Olivia Rodrigo.
In the last verse, Swift sings, "You look like Taylor Swift / In this light, we’re loving it / You’ve got edge, she never did / The future’s bright, dazzling."
These lines have led some fans to conjecture that the Blank Space singer may be comparing herself to Rodrigo, suggesting a passing of the torch or possibly hinting at a friendly rivalry.

Did anyone think it's maybe about Sabrina Carpenter? That's what I think since Taylor and Brina are friends but I guess it would make sense for Olivia too

      could be
i mean physically SC looks like Clara Bow, Stevie Nicks, and TS. but the lights reference etc, dazzling seem to fit OR more
      dazzling starlet etc
and i think the song is an inception
Stevie Nicks looks like Clara Bow
      TS looks like SN
      someone looks like TS.

no lol olivia rodrigo is the more talented songwriter and artist than sabrina, similar to taylor-- taylor referred to olivia and conan as her kids before whatever happened between them happened, everyone knows if anyone is closest to taylor's talent is olivia rodrigo who has more edge than taylor ever did

I think taylor just wrote clara bow about how new women to ghe music industry compare them to taylor swift

It’s a song about how ALL women are brought into the music industry. It does not have to be one person, it could be all of them. Stop making this about Olivia when Taylor has been writing about the music industry and women for 12 years. All of the sudden it’s about one person…. No. It’s in general.

It's about the phenomenon of celebrity, the business luring Young Artists into the money machine by holding up examples like Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks for the young girls to emulate. It's not about one in particular. There are thousands of teen girls right now singing into their hair brushes, dreaming of being the next TS just as there were thousands in the 1920s dreaming of being the next Clara Bow.

I saw either on Britain's Got Talent or America's Got Talent that Simon Cowell said to Grace Wanderwall "You are next Taylor Swift" because she sang an original song on ukulele

No man, she wrote it about the industry and all the young girls who are coning up and how the industry will compare them to her and out her down, just like the industry compared her at the start of her career to other greats like stevie nicks and clara bow but put the greats down. Its about the industry. Currently shes the thing in show biz. So the song ends woth them outting her down and telling other young girls t the start of their career that they are the next big thing. Now while that applies to olivia who is at the start of her career, it also applies to every young girl coming into the music industry that will be compared to her. Sabrina, billie, anyone. Its not in response to any beef with olivia

Lets not compare artist But the one leading the new group of artist is Olivia. Successful Guts Word Tour. Amazing and brilliant song compositions. Very good actress, can be drama or funny but still connects or appeal . When she dance while singing, she rocks. Plays piano, guitar and compose a lot her own songs in a short time. And lastly gorgeous and very good personality.

I actually think it might be about any new and upcoming artist
    (That or it’s abt Sabrina)
