We are planning a trip to go to this Resort and let me tell you after watching this video we decided to finally make the reservations. Thank you for this video it really helps us. 😊
I hope it gets better, as it has potential. The food at the end of September 2024 was almost inedible (beans with rice, or rice with beans with fresh produce almost non-existent). I know Cuba is having challenges (sort of); however, the food was much better at other resorts in the same area at the same time (when comparing notes with other tourists on the bus to the airport and the airplane). Other than that, the ocean, beach, rooms, air conditioning were great (far above my low expectations) - well except for the 1.5L bottle to share with my roommate per day (would not provide more water). It was great to not have to "battle" for a chair at the beach. We always found chairs (beach or pool) regardless of the time of day. The ocean water and sand were incredible. Although a handful of staff were amazing, many of the buffet "servers" were indifferent. Tipping seemed not to matter to most with better service. The sports bar (2nd floor) was very good in comparison with service!
Great video! I’m thinking about booking this hotel in September because Sunwing is giving an incredible deal but I had a bad experience in Cuba a couple years ago when I stayed at the Melia Cayo Coco. Although there was an abundance of food, the staff was serving us and we’re very stingy with portions so I starved the entire 10 days I was there and lost a considerable amount of weight. When I went for seconds the staff would give me dirty looks and would barely give me anything. I felt I had to beg them for food. In this video the breakfast buffet looked very scarse. Do they allow you to serve yourself or do they serve you? Is there a little snack shop either in the hotel or a grocery store outside the hotel? In case I don’t find anything suitable for my diet? Also is the pool deep enough to do lapses? Again, thank you for this video. Cuba has the most beautiful beaches in the world.😊
I have stayed in many resorts in Cuba the buffet is always self serve. I agree sometimes the A la carte can be small portions, depending on the resort. I have never lost weight on a trip, and I do a considerable amount of hiking while I am there. The pool is quiet big most parts are deep enough to do laps.
I m so sorry this resort have no palm trees. And look at the grass it s not a big green screen. In Dominican Republic, Mexico and Jamaica you don't have this problem. For a new resort it s.ok.no more

I’m glad you had a good time, but agree the food is always a gamble. The beach is amazing though.
I really appreciate your videos

Beach and Cuba it s wonderful all time! But no palm trees. If I don't know then Cuba, I said ohhh it's Old Orchard
agree
You mentioned that you were at the eberostar, are you entitle to both resorts ?
Not sure, I ask with the manager is I can shoot a video for my channel. Normally if the resorts are the same brand it is OK.
correct
Mr. Brown great video,.but Cuba and foods it s not on a same way
Thanks
