- Students and non-student activists built an encampment at the University of California, Los Angeles on Thursday, erecting tents and barricades in a scene similar to one that unfolded on the campus of the University of Southern California on Wednesday and resulted in dozens of arrests. Carlos Saucedo reports for KTLA 5 News at 6, April 25, 2024.

Universities are open to all ages. Many people go back to continue their education. It's not uncommon to see students in their 30s and 40s.

They could be grad students. I dropped out of college at 20 yrs old, joined the military for 7 yrs, then used my Post 9-11 GI Bill after honorably discharging. I obtained my AA degree at 31 yrs old and BS degree at 33 yrs old. There were 70 yr olds in my classes! It’s never too late to be a non-traditional student in America and quite common.
