i would like it if it would actually full screen map and backup camera, idk if it does, but if not, it can be just 8.4 and hard buttons and nobs for me
I'm going to buy a Limited when I get back to the states next year because it's so luxury. I won't be doing any towing, no plans on buying a boat and no off roading. I'm in the minority that will be buying this truck just because it's very nice looking on the inside and great mileage.
I will be buying one in a few years boys!!! I've have a 2011 Ram 1500 TRX, now 2015 ram 1500 Bighorn, and hopefully a 2020 Ram Rebal with the 5.7 here within the next few years. Used is the way to go boys!!!
Ram has the better tailgate for heavier work. You don't need to extend and possibly strain your back when grabbing something heavy out of the bed (such as firewood or bricks), as well as an easier time loading and unloading using a forklift because the tailgate it out of the way allowing you to drop something all the way in the back of the bed.
Andrew Lampart I like the features it has the most like you said, but dislike that it’s dependent on electronic buttons and not physical latches. I’m sure they’re reliable enough but fear lots of issues when they get older or cost much more when the inevitable happens.
I like diesels, glad to see more models offering them here in Canada. But I'm curious why everyone always shits on VW for their diesels but FCA(and others) were involved with the whole scandal aswell.
If you haven't tested the GM I6 duramax , do it. 20 less peak torque. But the GM makes its torque lower and holds it longer. It also has 27 more HP. It's quick for a diesel truck.
I wish we could have the RAMs in South Africa, on the other hand I drive a white 2014 Toyota Hilux Single Cab (Regular Cab) 4-cylinder petrol 4x2 with a 5-speed manual transmission... which you guys don’t get on your side of the pond... So you win some and you lose some. Simplicity and reliability vs luxury and tech.... which one of the two would you prefer?
If there's a choice between owning an FCA vehicle and literally anything else, I choose the anything else. It could be a single turnip. I choose the turnip...for reliability.
I prefer Ford's, Ram's and even Honda's tailgate feature because the main reason I can leave the Hitch in place and the only effort to do is change which ball to use for the trailer.
Oh "the b*tch" definitely did it. Pretty neat edits for the Tiger King theme, Im sure those took some time and effort. Btw 12500 pounds is almost exactly 16 jet skis if the average jetski weighs 750-800 pounds, so good guess on that haha.
Best tailgate gimmick goes to Honda Ridgeline, the original drop/swing tailgate gimmick! With a lockable trunk in the bed that can function as a cooler it is the ultimate tailgate vehicle, especially on the latest generation that lets you open the trunk with the tailgate down so you can grab a fresh chilled beverage without getting up from the tailgate. The original tailgate gimmick is still the best!
That might be the Turbo-lag combined with a non-performance-optimized programming of the transmission. In addition, this engine has a rather short rev range. I also have a diesel (but combined with a manual transmission) and it accelerates relatively good, but not from a standing start.
I'd rather just have the 8.4 inch screen. Literally the only function I ever look at in my car is Android Auto or CarPlay, so I'd take the better AC controls over the distracting extra screen. (Unless AA or CarPlay could take over the whole 12 inches.)
I'm not bias towards any brand(I drive Ford) but the best tailgate access aid was the Chevy/GMC step cut out of the bumper. The other options look cheap and gimmicky.
Please do the F150 3.5 ecoboost again but on the road. The “Worksite” wasn’t good enough for a review compared to the other trucks that had the road tests
I have an older EcoDiesel, I have it purely for highway fuel economy..... I don't tow often and I don't even haul that much but do need a truck for 4x4 and ground clearance and what other truck can you do 9.8L / 100km in at 115-120 kmh? Towing in mine then goes 17lL/ 100k. With diesel being so much more than gas right now the next one might be a Hemi. Or a Tacoma of I think I can handle the size decrease....
Nice truck but FCA ecodiesels have been junk since they released them in both 6 and 4 cyl even deleted. I understand this is the new reworked ecodiesel but I would have a hard time justifying it unless it’s a lease special. The 4th Gen eco in Canada were discounted so much where it was cheaper then a hemi to purchase new.
When we need to tow things the best way to do it is with a Diesel truck, Idk why in North America people use gas engines for trucks, they don’t have big torque figures from the lowest rpm and the fuel consumption is bad.
A lot of its due to the emissions system when its not at operating temps, this trucks 1st gear is really low so it revs quick and very minimal lag. 480 ft lbs of torque at 1600 rpm comes fast, great for towing.
Love how higher end half ton trucks are now almost $100K taxed in ... and that's GOOD? Is it just me ? or is the middle class not keeping up with inflation ?
What do you think of the Ram Rebel Ecodiesel?
Would have gotten the diesel in another trim but it’s a solid truck.
I love Ford Raptor ❤️
I rate this truck (8/10)
Garbage engine, I drove one as a work truck in bracebridge. City people pretending to be outdoorsy is adorable 😂
@@halmrkcrdz2494 Not the same engine you drove. It's like 85% new parts this year.
Yes, Carole did it.
Damn the camerawork and editing is AMAZING! Yuri’s graphic designer prowess! Stay safe as no StraightPipes would suck the life out of me!
I had a Ram Rebel as a rental, I loooved driving that thing it's so tall.
SNATCH jumper from 4wd action? Didn't think I would have found a 4WD Action fan here aha
It's all I've been watching in self isolation. Best channel
TheStraightPipes definitely should visit Australia and join on my first cape York trip after all this corona bs!
I noticed as well! Big fan here as well. “Hey Shawn-O!”
@9:45 I agree with Yuri. The screen looks nice but in practicality if it was a half screen size it would give the same effect and be more practical.
i would like it if it would actually full screen map and backup camera, idk if it does, but if not, it can be just 8.4 and hard buttons and nobs for me
Yeah like one in Tesla Model S and new Volvo
I would love to see Ram Tiger King edition. Also Carole Baskin did it 100%.
Not really into American trucks but gotta admit that Rams are sweet 🔥
GM has the best tailgate, it has steps and can have a handle. Also the multiple positions AND you can get speakers in the tailgate!
Carole definitely did it!
I'm going to buy a Limited when I get back to the states next year because it's so luxury. I won't be doing any towing, no plans on buying a boat and no off roading.
I'm in the minority that will be buying this truck just because it's very nice looking on the inside and great mileage.
Buys a truck with no plans to ever use it as a truck, simply because it gets "good mileage".
YOU EVER HEARD OF CARS?!
You might just be an idiot
I will be buying one in a few years boys!!! I've have a 2011 Ram 1500 TRX, now 2015 ram 1500 Bighorn, and hopefully a 2020 Ram Rebal with the 5.7 here within the next few years. Used is the way to go boys!!!
Just realized that its not the time to buy the raptor

the air ride on the newer rams are nice and all but if you're northern US or in Canada, the salt and cold will ruin it
Carole definitely did it
Yuri, I love my 2015 300! Glad they still make them. Very few car manufacturers make RWD options, glad I can whip around in my RWD 300
I like diesels, glad to see more models offering them here in Canada. But I'm curious why everyone always shits on VW for their diesels but FCA(and others) were involved with the whole scandal aswell.
7:20 branded for life!

Plus the trailer weight though, that's why I went down to 12
The long horn is my favorite and yes Carole did do it!!!🤪🤪
Carole 100 percent did it 😂
I'm I'm love with this truck😍

You can rewind by holding down on the left steering wheel paddle too
After quarentine you guys should review more 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks. The RAMs are nice though. Also Carole did it.
Quad cabs suck you def have to go crew cab although I’m a reg cab guy. You guys are in sync and well rehearsed I love it. Nice one gents!
Super cab life in my Raptor
I lime the rams tailgate because it's more useful. You can reach further inside the bed by opening it like that.
Hey @TheStraightPipes, can you do a review of the RAM 3500 as well a RAM 3500 Vs Raptor video. Please and Thank you
that interior is amazing...thats about it.
I am surprised that with that much torque, it did not at least feel a little fast off the line, even though it is not a speed demon.
That might be the Turbo-lag combined with a non-performance-optimized programming of the transmission. In addition, this engine has a rather short rev range. I also have a diesel (but combined with a manual transmission) and it accelerates relatively good, but not from a standing start.
GMC has the best tailgate!
You NEED a 360 camera. Specialy in a work truck!!
Guys....could you test a white, base-model truck please? RAM or other.
I would go with a Hemi and full crew cab
Other than that it’s a sweet truck ✌🏻
You guys should review the Land cruiser 200 diesel the torque is crazy
I wanted an ecodiesel but got a great deal on Laramie sport with a regular hemi...
Damn, Ram trucks are no joke
It is made by FCA, its a lease at best.
Made to last a few months at best.
Please review the latest Raptor and compare it in the version that you've reviewed in 2017
Tf the headlights are awesome
I'm a simple man, I see diesel, I click
Best in class towing at 12.5k Ford F-150 3.5L V6 with 2 wheel drive and 6.5' bed is 13.3k. Dodge must have printed that ;-)
Dodge Journey next please?
Why do I secretly want this
Y'all need to get your hands on the Silverado 1500 Duramax , it delivers more natural low end torque and it's a lot faster than the rebel 👍🏼🤘🏼
The GMC tail gate seems like the best one
Good job. Your next truck video should be the ford super duty tremor.
Are y’all excited for the 2021 Acura TLX Type S?!
Zachary Jones hell yeah.
That interior looks fucking excellent feels like not enough credit is given. Then I was hit the price and I was... ok, fair enough
It’s actually 24 jet skis.
Dam the thing looks like it only holds two people on the thumbnail, had to look at it twice before I realized it was a crewcab
"Carole Baskin´s is a bietch!" - Qoute from VanossGaming
they say the ecodiesel is unreliable, you need to throw a motor from BMW there, even an M57, look at the characteristics)
I'd rather just have the 8.4 inch screen. Literally the only function I ever look at in my car is Android Auto or CarPlay, so I'd take the better AC controls over the distracting extra screen. (Unless AA or CarPlay could take over the whole 12 inches.)
Power Bulge! I want a Power Bulge!
I don't think anyone has ever worn that powder-puff purple shirt in a Ram truck before. Haha
My man has symmetrical OCD... oh well. Function over form I say.
It is the best looking full size on the market...imo.
I wish we have this diesel beast here in Malaysia to carry our prescious musang king durians 💪💪💪
I'm not bias towards any brand(I drive Ford) but the best tailgate access aid was the Chevy/GMC step cut out of the bumper. The other options look cheap and gimmicky.
The crewcab is the only way to go and the gate is better on the ram.
The Ram tailgate would look better if the split was right down the middle instead of being offset.
Jakub is wearing a "Snatch" Hoodie!!!! Shaun and Graham would be pleased :)
Yeewwww🍻
Please do the F150 3.5 ecoboost again but on the road. The “Worksite” wasn’t good enough for a review compared to the other trucks that had the road tests
Waiting for the new model. Plus we can't film anything outside now
TheStraightPipes fair enough!
Air suspension benefits towing more than off roading.
Please do the Warlock
Y’all need to do a review on a dually
CAROLE DID IT!
Yes

The value as a truck is there, but the value vs. other trim levels and the Hemi powered version isn't.
Nice truck but FCA ecodiesels have been junk since they released them in both 6 and 4 cyl even deleted. Rafael Lima gas engines are less expensive to purchase, generally less complex and with cheap fuel in the US not costly to operate.
Do a review of the Lexus rcf 2020 or the 2020 track edition
They don't sell those where I'm from. Why? Because the size of it will be hard to live with😢
Nice some 'REBEL'ious touch, Great theme. I am seeing SUV coming in soon. However nice review.
In my opinion it looks like a mix of the Ford Ranger Raptor and the Dodge Ram
In other reviews I heard complaints about excessive turbolag. Didn't hear it in this video, perhaps it was solved / reduced by a change in software?
A lot of its due to the emissions system when its not at operating temps, this trucks 1st gear is really low so it revs quick and very minimal lag. 480 ft lbs of torque at 1600 rpm comes fast, great for towing.
I own an ‘04 #CUMMINS!! And the NV5600’s no slouch 🤘
That God Damn Carole Baskins!
You should do the Kia Seltos soon!!!
So dodge every gonna give me the diesel challenger I crave? The engine small enough now
I hate the ginormous radio dial knob Ram puts in for their automatic transmissions 🤭
Have you guys ever reviewed the Giulia Quadrifoglio
Yes she did it
Love how higher end half ton trucks are now almost $100K taxed in ... and that's GOOD?
Is it just me ? or is the middle class not keeping up with inflation ?
Where is the highlander 2020
great truck top of my list - oops where is my list? ha ha ha
It would be great to have 6.4 or 6.2 in the ram 1500
It'd be a 2500
The rebel doesn't have a shortened quad cab option.. is that a canada only thing?
yes Carole did it
Introducing the ram 1500! Soon available at a junkyard near you!!
Love the duratrac tires
I really prefer the ram rebel 1500 and also the ford raptor f-150 👍👍👍
This or new ranger raptor?
what is that song on the intro? what a slapper
What watch are you wearing yakub?
9:45... 1st World problems
