You should hold the handle in full travel position as you turn your shut face screw. This will stage the counterweight in it's correct position for easy reinstallation of the handle.
Your video worked great for the first rear door. However, I tried the second one, but the latch must closed and the door shut and latched. It appears that the child safety latch was on so now I can't open the door as it has no outside handle, and indoor doesn't work because of child safety. Any ideas how to get the door open?
Be careful not to turn the screw too much. It doesn't STOP. loosening and turning too much can cause the set screw to detach and then you can't reinstall the handle without replacing the latch.
Anyone have trouble on the part with the flathead screw driver on XL/STX models, with the rough black handles? Seems as though the plastics are one solid piece. I can’t get the handle cover off of the assembly

I'm in the process of doing a "chrome delete" on my 2021 F150. Do you happen to know the part number for the handle cover for a matte black or what do you recommend once I get my chrome door handles off?

What could be the problem when the 5mm bolt just spinning without moving the latch that hook the door handle, Is the bolt not catching?

Yes you can. You just have to get a hook pick and pull it back into place, of for whatever reason you remove the screw completely

They do come apart. They're a pain but I had the most luck starting with the tabs first.

To remove the handle completely I am assuming you'll need to take door panels off to unplug the "touch sensors" that unlock the doors?
If you can't unplug from the outside, then yes
