Thirdly, the SC is hypocritical with unequal application of the laws - throwing the book at some and abusing the prosecution in others, in a schizophrenic display of jurisprudence. Finally, the SC seeks to dodge its own responsibility while giving lectures to others- either it strikes down the law for it being Unconstitutional or it applies the law equally to all cases without fear or favor. Instead it has chosen the "show me the face, I'll show you the rules" approach of banana republics perpetuating a farce.
Act was amended in 2016 so that bjp can use its provisions against opposition leaders. Those amendments were against natural justice, and should've been declared unconstitutional by the SC.
