I appreciate the compliments and I'll say this:
I don't flip my sticks to be "cool," I flip them because it is entertaining to myself to challenge myself to see what I can do while I play and it is entertaining to my subscribers. I make these videos for them and they enjoy that not only do I play the drums, but I try to make the videos as entertaining visually as they are drumming-wise. There is only so much stage presence a drummer can have, and I try to max it out with energy and visuals.

It's because he adds too much of unnecessary things, less is more, bands aren't looking for drummers who does drum solos on their songs, still cooper's a great drummer.

Brandon Auchterlonie And naming famous drummers isn't supporting your argument in ANY way because all these drummers know when it is time to show off and show what they can do and are made of, but they wouldn't do it for a whole song, unless it is specially planned for it to be a drum song. These drummers are very good and know how to fill a song, but they also know how to keep the rhythm and how to play ALONG with others not OVER or AGAINST others.

I am self taught on the drum set. :) You don't really need lessons to learn to play set, you can learn by watching and listening to others. But I was taught to read music, and other musical composition/theory stuff through middle school and high school band. I highly recommend learning to read music and participating in school band if it is available :)

That's ok I forgive you :) But just remember, I didn't write the music, just the drums! I'm just trying to play as wide a variety of material as I can so everyone can be happy. Nothing is 'flawless', nothing is 'perfect'. To settle on that is to let oneself deteriorate and waste one's skill. There is always room for improving. In that world things are always changing and for one to not pursue the changes or to not grow with the new changes, will leave them forgotten to time.

Even if he doesn't flip his sticks to be cool, I still admire him for simply that. He is amazing. And he can flip sticks while keeping the beat and not getting off rhythm, that is a intense challenge and very hard to do.
