Best moment is when he sucker punches the camel
I love how the gods in the Conan-universe is like a mystical pantheon... Although it isn't. People recognise eachothers gods, but still think their god's superior. Even though I'm a an atheist I think it's a wonderful worldview. Give your neighbour the benefit of the doubt, Until they prove their beliefs to be true or false. Muthafuckin Conan!
Jaestro ok
@@htoodoh5770 Your "ok" made me laugh! I wrote this while drunk and you're like 'dude, calm down.' At least I read it like that. xD
My god is stronger! He laughs at your Atheism! Hahaha!
Abiogenesis is impossible!
You are the one that believes in fantasy!
Pretty much the way was before monotheism. The monotheists are "our god or die." But most cultures and religions were NOT that way.
Subotai owns Conan with facts and logic
I hope they bring Sabutai back with the same actor in The Legend of Conan.
I hope so too. He was my favourite character in this movie by far! Best companion! He was thief but he wasn't treacherous, he didn't have reason to follow Conan but he did, and when he could've just taken some of the gold and leave, he tracked down Conan with Valeria and saved him from the cross! Best friend! Loyal until the end!
HE NEEDS TO COME BACK! SAME ACTOR AS WELL!
Subotai would make a fine lord in Conans kingdom.
Gerry Lopez. Believe it or not but he's like one of the best surfers of all time. A legend in that community.
I love the idea that they travel by running and not walking... It's so innocent and strong at the same time ❤
Not only does Crom laugh at us. He laughs at us from his mountain! Just to underline our lowliness! Damn that laughing Crom!
Chronologically this must be around the 7-6th millennium BC. Can’t even imagine how clean the air must have been back then.
It's a fantasy age that never existed. I think he said it was something like 10-15,000 BC but that would put it in the Ice Age, which it plainly isn't. Much, much less was known about the prehistoric past when Howard was writing.
The music to this movie...it’s so beautiful.
I want nothing else in life than to run with a friend through the open plains like that. This is every boy's dream of adventure.
Two great Warriors discussing who's god is greater. Conan gives his 'my god is greater' reason and when Subotai responds, Conan says 'Cromm laughs at your Four Winds.' Something a little kid would say to someone to win an argument and get a laugh. However Subotai checkmates with 'your god lives underneath mine' proving his god is superior. Conan's look is priceless, the look of ' I don't like what you said, but you got me on that one.' Just love it.
I like to imagine these are the conversations my Jack Russel and Mastiff have with each other
I've got to sit and watch this movie again....I mean, really _watch_ it. All of life's answers are contained within.
Crom laughs at the four winds, laughs from his mountain!
Conan: What gods do you pray to?
Subotai:I pray to the Four Winds and you?
Conan:To Crom but i soldem pray to him he doesnt listen
Subotai:What good is he then? aaah its just as i've always said
Conan: he's strong if i die i have to go before him and he will ask what is the rule of steel if i dont know it he will cast me away thats crom strong on his mountain
Subotai:my god is greater
Conan:Haha crom laughs from his mountain at your Four Winds
Subotai:my god is stronger he is the everlasting sky crom lives underneath him
CONAN GOT REKT!!!!
Conan: -.-
@@sequorroxx OMG Leonard di Caprio is a freeboter
Riddle. He has to know the *riddle* of steel.
@@RevBoose had to scroll to far for this- thanks, Captain!
But even the strongest winds cannot move a mountain
Conan's reaction to visiting a city for the first time is adorable.
Fantastic scene. Great soundtrack. Great scenery. Just seems really exhausting. Really could have used some form of public transportation back then.
“It’s good” , “ you have know idea how long it’s been there” haha
Theres something about this movie, maybe it's the setting or the music or the camera angles idk but this movie feels magical to me.
One of the best films ever made. Fuck the Academy Awards.
This is loyalty and True Friendship! Sabotai even cried for Conan when Valeria Was Killed! #ILoveThisMovie
Poledouris' score for this film is one of the greatest of all time. I struggle to think of anything that captures/creates the atmosphere of a movie like this score.
Funny thing is this debate makes more sense than most of actual theology...
One of the best soundtracks ever made for a movie
In case anyone is wondering, the song is called theology by Basil Poledouris.
This is exactly the kind of conversation that would happen in a caravanserai along the ancient silk road
"Does it always smell like this? How does the wind ever get in here?"
Reference to the Four Winds?
+KarstenOkk found that bit funny, seems like Conan was becoming a believer of the eternal sky lolol
He just discover a city for the first time.
I think it is related how stinky the city is and then wondering if it ever smells clean
Great movie further boosted by excellent casting.
The music 🥰
A friendship more powerful than all the gawds combined.
GOD! This movie still holds up!
Have any of you Conan fans checked out Soloman Kane? It is based on a famous Robert E Howard character. He wrote some great poems with the character as the central focus.
Running cross country with beautiful music in an adventure film, started here and continued in Lord of the Rings. Spanish desert landscapes are great.
When philosophy was simple. "My god is greater! He's higher!"
LOL Frankie boy...agreed!!!
“Naaaa…My god is greater.” Theology at its best.
Everlasting sky=Tengri
@Cosmic Solution Kazakh Mongol? Kazakhs not Mongol. Kazakhs tribe of the Turks. And maybe u can Turkic. But he is not kazakh also. He is Tuvan Turk.
This is in the days of high adventure...this film will never not entertain me
Conan's look @1:05 is definitely a meme:
"Dude, did you just make that up?" XD
conan can't beat that logic, Crom is underneath the Four Winds!
When you recruit a new party member in your fantasy rpg
I always watch this before I go for a run. It's just so great.
Beautiful Spain
Astalonte2 thanks ;)
I’m just happy that Conan found a friend.
greatest movie ever
Crom is like the germanic-scandinavian god Odin...
They just ran about 20 000 miles right there...
The music is awesome
This movie is true greatness
