I want to point out that not all puzzles may have the nicked corner on the end of the rotating/locking piece. Mine doesn't, so that piece gives no obvious clues as to where it is. My ball is more "rattley" than yours, so I think built with more allowances to not need that. I have pretty much learned elsewhere how to assemble, but I don't have it down, and feel your approach to laying out the pieces according to how they will fit is going to help. Any more... I didn't get to finish the video but have saved it for later, when I get to play again. Thank you so much for posting your approach!
You know what I've been looking for in stores for eons? Ever see the 1977 sci fi film "Demon Seed"? The computer Proteus IV (with Robert Vaughn's voice) holds Julie Christie prisoner in her own home (because 'he' wants to become a human & plans to...um...impregnate her??) & creates this mechanical thing that I call the Imposs-o-bot. It's made up of triangular pieces that fold into all sorts of geometric shapes. It makes no sense, but is sure cool to look at (& this is pre-CGI, so it's a prop). I love toys like Rubik's Snake that twist into various shapes, but I've found nothing yet that is as variable as that Impossobot. Maybe some day...
@@DevinCrystie I also have a toy, the name of which eludes me. Something generic like Magic Star or Cosmic Star. It's in 2 pieces, each of which can fold into a cube _or_ a 12 pointed star thingie. Somehow they took a dodecahedron with its 12 pentagonal sides & put hemi-octahedrons on it (wish I could describe it better). & you can unfold the two pieces so they interlock & can be refolded into a single cube! What won't they think of next?
30 seconds to take apart, after 2 days trying to reassemble (WITH the solution) I gave up. Thank you. My only suggestion would be putting little, removable A thru F tags on both sides of the pieces when you start the explanation. Just confirm both sides have same letter. that would have helped me.
Thank you! I have a whole playlist of puzzle solution videos on my channel if you want to check that out. If there is a specific one you'd like to see me solve that I haven't already, let me know the name of it and maybe I can get it to make a video on!
Thank you! I got this as a gift maybe 15 years ago and solved it once. Picked it up a week and needed this video to put it back together 😅 Probably sounds creepy but you have nice hands
I was trying to solve it as I walked into my bedroom like trying to take it apart and I found the piece that wiggled and moved and then I folded it and then I tripped and it hit the floor and shattered
I am sorry if this is not supposed to be funny, but it really made me laugh, so thank you. I hope you are ok, and the good thing is that this is a reassembly video as well, so you just put it back together, right?
Your puzzle could have much more snug of a fit than mine which is very loose, but there must be at least a small irregularity at one of the corners in order to move one of the pieces down.
Thank you. I deliberately add as much detail as possible because I figure if someone needs less detail they can still get the idea, but if someone needed more detail they wouldn't have it if I didn't provide it. I unfortunately can't tailor the lesson to individuals because it's a video, so I just do my best!
I figured it out on the first try by accident but i didnt know how to put it together thank you!💜
You're welcome!
Same😂
I've had this blasted thing for _years_ ! Thank you for this video. I don't even care about putting it back together. I'm gonna leave it in 6 pieces!
I'm glad it helped!
Thank you! Your explanation was perfect. Very easy to follow along.

Oh, this is interesting. Thanks for pointing it out for others! I hope the video helps!
Thanks a million. Very very cool wee trick and with only 6 pieces rememberable as well. Most fun 10 minutes not on my phone I've had recently haha
Glad you liked it!
THANK YOU SOO MUCH, THIS WAS MY SISTERS AND NOW IM NOT IN TROUBLE. YAYYYYYY
Hahaha, congrats on saving it!
@@DevinCrystie thanks to you i learned how to do it myself, thank you
Thanks for the tutorial. Took me a while but I got it in the end. Yay

thanks you so much me and my friends spend all day trying to figure this out.

I will definitely try to get that one!

Mine doesn’t have a loose piece or a chipped corner

DevinCrystie yeah I found it
Oh good, yay!
I go the thing apart fine, but the pieces on mine are cut differently to yours for some reason
Maybe it's a slightly different puzzle? Or the pieces just need to be rotated or flipped to match mine?
@@DevinCrystie it's different, I figured out the solution and there is no need to twist the first piece in mine, it just raises up
Yeah, I'm convinced that the one I have is fucked up because it has no chipped piece. I dont understand how it is even together
Abrège❤ mais super bien expliqué merci !
De rien!
Stop talking so much and give each piece a number… show how they go back together. Omg this was painful to watch
This is this and I'm me...
Thanks. You helped me win 100MVR (6.50 USD) from my aunt
Wooo, let's go!
what use is standing the pieces on their edge? Why not lay them flat...
I was keeping them in the same orientation as they are in the completed sphere.
😂
I like the part when she said peice.
Haha, I can't believe how many times I say that!
For me it completely fell apart
Too detailed
(Constructive criticism)
