I'm the biggest fan of the 6 first mixes, but this one seems to have lost the essence that made the Great Spirit psy trance mixes so perfect... Almost no more chanting, melodies now almost disappeared... Will wait patiently for the 8th mix, hoping the "essence" comes back! 🙏
So I must confess, and this is meant to be constructive criticism mind you, but I feel this mix is a step down from the past albums. In fact, I do not actually feel it's of the same series. I understand it's a mix, but hear me out: The Great Spirit series usually had an even, "cruising" flow with a strong balance between tribal and monk driven chanting mixed with Electro style music. These songs feel much more chaotic, heavier in the bass, and strongly lacking in the tribal/monk chant sounds. Because of this, I didn't feel I could fall into it nearly as much. It's not bad, but it just doesn't quite feel like the same thing and definitely isn't as good. Bit of a B average grade from what is normally a solid S tier series in my book
