Welcome Home With Madeleine, UBC Custom Home

Excited to share our latest custom home project on Vancouver's west side! This stunning 4,300 sq. ft. home was built for a young professional couple. Thanks to Woodrose Homes, I had the opportunity to collaborate with my husband, Adam, again!
New builds tend to go more smoothly than renovations, but we did face some challenges-like installing the massive 27' multi-slide door. The wait time was longer than expected, so we got creative with our construction planning. Adam and I designed custom trim to hide the extra insulation, ensuring the back of the house looked seamless.
We also worked closely with our clients to pick the perfect exterior stain, achieving a charming beach cottage look. Inside, we turned a structural necessity in the basement into a design feature with a coffin-style ceiling and cove lighting.
The kitchen is an entertainer’s dream with an open layout and a stunning marble island. Our signature moody design shines in the powder room, while the mudroom is both beautiful and functional. The office, with its dark blue millwork and backyard views, is an ideal work-from-home space.
The primary ensuite is my favorite-luxurious marble tiles, custom white oak cabinets, a large walk-in shower, and a freestanding tub create the perfect serene oasis.
