That’s awesome glad you love eating the salmon. I did the same thing but I brought a king, coho and a sockeye back to Virginia had my uncle buy the 2 at Costco wild and farmed. We had all spread out on table and had all 15 relatives try each one all loved the sockeye but they still loved the coho and king but they noticed the tasteless salmon from Costco. Glad y’all having a blast Kenai just had almost 300,000 salmon come into Kenai river past 2 days. Have a great time I’m leaving soon out of anchorage

I was in Soldotna for 3 weeks in August and limited out every single day. Brought home 150 pounds of salmon

I love the Alaska summers. However, a nice sunny 78F Florida day in January beats a 5F snowy in Alaska.

Wow that’s amazing. I always thought you had to be a resident of Alaska to be able to do this. I always wanted to go. Great video.

Thank you! Snagging is legal in saltwater only. Dipnetting is for residents only. For snagging, once you have your license, follow the limits established and you are good to go. Hope you get to go.

You would BLOW your mind if you ever tried Copper River Salmon it's absolutely wayyyyy better than what you have had before. Bad part is that only residents are allowed to dipnet but non-resident could sport fish.

That’s our next goal is to be able to fish for Copper River Salmon. We have eaten it and it truly is delicious!

that's how it goes for most people. A few of my friends take home hundreds of pounds every year and all of it is for family relatives and friends. And before you've even left, you're planning on the next year's trip. ... what you'll do differently, where to go, what you want to try and things to do next..

This is Awesome! I vote for a MyKZone group trip! Although, I might have to threaten to bench Haley Davis to get her on the plane, lol.

Thank you! Yes it does fluctuate. It even fluctuates while we are there fishing. But once they start coming in, you can get them if you stay committed! Good luck!!

We are making plans to fish the kenai next July. What dates were the sockeye the thickest of your 2 weeks vacation? What’s the limit on it? Thanks

We actually went in June, we just got things published a little later than we planned to. We caught a run in June … wish we were up in July. The limit was 6 per day when we slammed them. 😊

Last week of June is usually the beginning of the peak for the first run, usually double limits just before 4th of July.
