My god. The way he looks at her. It's like he's expressing every word with his eyes, they keep changing with every line he sings to her. When he starts saying "And you know..." it gets so real, lol. And I don't know how she hasn't broken down by the time he says "Ain't it, baby?"
The chemistry between Connie and Chip is amazing. They have had it all through the seasons up until the very end. I just love it. There is no replacing that now that Connie is gone.
I cry every single time I hear this song it’s so heartbreaking watching this scene because it feels like he wrote this song for her right before she died and was saying his last goodbye to her in this scene and she was happy enough to being with someone like Deacon and she is so proud of him and how long he has come!!!!!!!!!
I never ever ever EVER thought I’d see Connie have such amazing chemistry with anyone after FNL with Kyle Chandler. Connie and Kyle were so amazing on FNL but damn, Chip and Connie are just as great if not greater!!!!!!!!!!
I was so shocked when I heard this song and how it fits their story so perfectly and everything they been through together is really truly like this song is!!!!!
This song is so damn beautiful and it’s like he is saying goodbye to her in this song before she died that’s how I’m feeling when I hearing this and specially when Deacon was singing this song to Rayna and the way she’s looking at him too!!!!!!!
Did anyone else realize he sang "sometimes you're wrong, sometimes I'm right"? Basically insinuating that he's always the one who's right and it just flew over her head.
It feels like he is singing this to her when she’s dead and she comes back as a ghost so he can let her move on and go to heaven she listens to his song and then she goes and that’s how I would had wanted it to be but I like this scene also!!!!!!!
Capo on the 2nd fret. E major, E add9 (hammer on w/pink on the 1st fret of high E) and then A sus 2. In the pre-chorus and chorus there is a D, F#minor, and a regular A. "my heart you'll never break it" is Bm, and D. There is a C# minor in there as well, just play along with the song and you'll be able to figure it out.

Ole Deke gets me all up in the tissues every time I watch this damn clip!
I believe all the songs he wrote where about Rayna!!! He admitted it in season 1!!!!
The chemistry between Connie and Chip is amazing. They have had it all through the seasons up until the very end. I just love it. There is no replacing that now that Connie is gone.
They loved each other so damn much. *sigh sad we will never see them grow old together. #RIPRAYNA
Its 2021, Thank God I am still here. 🌹 💜
Absolutely same!! And it touches me the very same way it did the first time 😭😭❤️❤️
That song is so good. His eyes express so much feelings, the chemistry between Chip and Connie is amazing.
His voice cracking kills me every time!

Truly on of the best television couples and chemistry I have ever seen. And I watched.a lot of telly.
Absolutely magical! So in love with them!
Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton so much better in my opinion
I wish their happiness didn’t have to end. They were finally in a good place together.
I never ever ever EVER thought I’d see Connie have such amazing chemistry with anyone after FNL with Kyle Chandler. Connie and Kyle were so amazing on FNL but damn, Chip and Connie are just as great if not greater!!!!!!!!!!
0:53 is why no one will ever love Rayna like Deacon will.
This song is love in it's purest rawest form

I was so shocked when I heard this song and how it fits their story so perfectly and everything they been through together is really truly like this song is!!!!!

love this song. I wish they had the whole song
He should have sang this song on her funeral like a dedication to her because he wrote this song for her and it’s about their love story!!!!!!!!
It’s 2019 here I am 🙋🏻♀️
Did anyone else realize he sang "sometimes you're wrong, sometimes I'm right"? Basically insinuating that he's always the one who's right and it just flew over her head.

The best part was when Deacon sang this part: I'M NEVER SINGING, UNLESS MY SONG IS FOR YOU.
