      Are the numberplates compared to missing persons cases?? Please say they are!! And if, how fast will you know?

    • @mensafordummies6370
      @mensafordummies6370 3 года назад +3

      @@Veruska75 The plates are run through a national system used primarily by law enforcement, that can tell them who the most recent registered owner of that car was. In many cases, it can also tell who the previous owner was as well, but not always; some states do not keep a list of former owners, only current owners. It only takes a couple of minutes to get the information back once a plate number is entered into the 'search' function of the license and registration database. In the event that a vehicle does not have a license plate, the same information can be obtained from the same database by entering the 'VIN' aka Vehicle Identification Number in the 'search' function. Every vehicle that was ever registered has a VIN, often found on the metal strip of the front dashboard where it meets the windshield, although there are other places that it may also be found. I'm a retired 911 dispatcher. I've run more plates than I can even begin to count. If a plate number or VIN is run through the database and comes back to someone listed as a missing person, or the vehicle comes back as having been stolen, well, there ya go!

      @@mensafordummies6370 Thank you, and thanks for explaining all that, too. I live in Northern Europe, so I don't know at all how things are run over there. But there seems to be lots and lots of people who go missing, for various reasons, over there and I think what these guys are doing is awesome, and can and will probably bring closure to lots of families. It is still a bit unclear to me exactly how vast the U.S. is, and you guys using miles instead of kilometres doesn't make it easier, lol! But, I've tried to learn about changing miles to km in my head lately, and also tried to grasp the vastness of the States. I mean, we all know the Atlas map is distorted. I've lately looked around on Google Earth, and my God you guys have such beautiful nature over there!
      Again, thank you for answering, and I am happy to hear that the plates ARE run nationally (someone else claimed "no" earlier).
      Wishing you a great day!

    I went to Nolan High School (just in front of this “lake”) and still didn’t know where White Lake was. Now that I do…it explains why you found so many cars. This is not the best area in Fort Worth. Thanks for all you guys do!!

    • @XaMarie21
      @XaMarie21 3 года назад +27

      I’d say finding 7 stollen vehicles in said lake makes a pretty rough neighborhood. Not to mention a methadone clinic just a mile from the school. And the list goes on. I’m not saying the east side is the worst part of town, I grew up there…but IMHO it’s not the BEST AREA in Fort Worth. I’m not talking down to anyone…I’m simply stating my opinion.

    If their mounting points aren't rotted out yet, you can lift a car just off the seatbelts. Plus if the chain does shear through the roof, you've still got a chance

I've noticed in the comment section of a number of AWP's videos that you've been doing your best to argue, contradict, and just generally poop on a lot of people's thoughts, ideas and feelings. It's rude and uncalled for. If you need some kind of help, say so. If you need counselling, go find a counsellor. Whatever it is you need to do to stop yourself from arguing and belittling others, please step up and make sure those needs are met somehow. You seem to be a very sad person.

    Como is one of Fort Worth’s highest crime area. I never even knew there was a lake there. I grew up here and still live here. Never heard of Lake Como. Come back next year and you’ll find more, given that area and the rise in crime. Benbrook lake is where you should look for cold cases. It is a large lake.

    I live in Lake Worth, Tx and I was on the lake fishing one nigh about 30 years ago when a truck ran off the lake road near Inspiration Point and went into the lake. I remember floating over the truck in my boat and the headlights of the truck stayed on underwater for hours. I don't know what eventually happened to that vehicle..

    A woman I went to high school with has been missing since October of last year from Dallas, TX. Her name is MERCEDES CLEMENT. 25yo. She has a 5 year old son. Last seen at an acquaintance’s apartment. Her car was abandoned with her wallet and keys inside. Surveillance video mysteriously “glitched” during the time frame she went missing. The acquaintance is not cooperating. Local law enforcement is doing absolutely NOTHING to find her and instead they are saying she probably just ran away. However she had just completed a degree and would NEVER abandon her child. The family is desperate for help finding their daughter, and her son misses his mom. Nobody will help this family find closure. PLEASE spread awareness and bring her back home to her family.

      Relax it's a clump of mud, if it was an actual skull it would not have stayed in that spot while being pulled from the water. The only way a skull could stay there is that its still attach to the body but there isn't enough space in the foot well for a body to sit. Jared and Sam had search enough cars at this point to know what they're looking for.

      I was looking for such a comment. I saw it too. Facial skull bones are definitely visible.
