Amihai, I discovered you several years ago when I first subscribed to the Digital Concert Hall. I took a special notice of your obvious deep passion during your performing which always comes out in your body language ( facial expression, body postures, viola tones, etc). I play "at" the violin as an older man now who lost his father at age 5 and cancer of the pancreas at his age of only 42. He was and excellent violinist in a local symphony here and I finally decided to take his violin off my sister's wall as a "decoration" (ugh) and got it reconditioned and started classical lessons in my early 50s. I advanced up into Suzuki Book 7 but I will never play at a skill I wish I had if my dad had not died who could have taught and inspired me. My step-father who raised had no appreciation for music and we had little money and I had eventually 8 siblings so I paid for my own guitar lessons at age 13 with my money from jobs. I should have started lessons as a young boy! My schools had no music programs (small Catholic schools). I get goosebumps hearing you play and wish I had such a skill and talent. I even out a small framed photo of you playing on my mantle to inspire me when I practice. I struggle with vibrato. I just want to connect with you. God bless you and your wife and child! Dear Rob, Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’m so happy that you now have a chance to explore music - it is never too late. I wish you luck with vibrato, it is a life-long journey. Thank you for your support and wishes. All the best, Amihai

      Dear Amihai
I am so honored that you took time to reply to my RUclips comments to you! You are a celebrity to me! 😁. I live 30 minutes west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the northernmost part of the state of West Virginia in a city (Weirton) on the Ohio River. My town is squeezed in between the states of Ohio on our western city border and Pennsylvania on our eastern city border. They completely filmed the movie " Super 8" in our town but made it like it was in some fictional Ohio steel-making town they named "Lillian, Ohio, but it was filmed here in my town of Weirton, West Virginia which was a steel town until the steel industry tanked some years ago. We are almost like a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA now. I live only 25 minutes from the Pittsburgh International Airport. My dream (after covid) would be for you to one day come and guest perform for the Pittsburgh Symphony where I could greet you face-to-face! Maybe one day in heaven. Ha ha Ha
I'm hoping this is a private chat. I don't want to put this information out public but I do not belong to Facebook so here is my email address: RManc@comcast.net. Please email me sometime if you can! I worked over 40 years as a speech and language pathologist (therapist) working mostly with kids in the schools collecting their language and speech disorders but I also worked on the side with adults who had strokes and lost their communication skills and I also taught at the college level for almost 25 years at night as additional work. I am retired now But I still have a lot of energy left in me. As I said before, I lost my father to cancer when I was five. And since then all my life I would always get goosebumps when I heard strings playing in the soundtrack some movies. So much that I would focus more on the music than the dialogue in the movies. Only certain people who love music couldappreciate what I'm saying. It melts my bones when I hear beautiful string music. Anyway you should stream the movie super eight or by the disc off of Amazon sometime and watch it. You will get an idea of our little town here. Plus it's a good sci-fi movie directed by JJ Abrams who was Steven Spielberg's protégé! Please send me an email if you can. You have no idea what that would mean to me though I know you are extremely busy!

A beautiful sonata played with perfection. Thank you. The tones of the viola (or at least the ones you produce) are deeply satisfying.

Dear Amihai Grosz, I have been watching your videos and you play the viola very beautiful. I am 11 years old, I am Venezuelan, my viola teacher recommended me to watch your videos, you are an inspiration for the young people who are starting out in the viola. Thanks and congratulations.

Man, I’m so impressed by your playing. Since I’ve heard Enescu Octet with Janine. I can’t name better viola player than you, dude. Many hugs, Omar
