George Lucas had E.T's species be part of the Star Wars Universe :) A few of them have a position in the prequels @ the senate. Heck...he even had a nod to it when a kid was wearing a Yoda mask in E.T. Interesting little easter egg eh?
One of the most brilliant songs i heard as a child! I always knew the song had this special characteristic to it It was almost its own thing in the movie
I was looking for the original song.. This is not at all what i wanted to hear . THIS is the link to the song ::: End Credits Music from the movie "E.T. The Extra Terrestrial"
I'm guessing if I buy the Hal Leonard's "Movie Piano Solos" book with this song. Any chance it's as complex as this you are playing? Where did you get this sheet?
I am a piano tuner and I regret to inform you that you are incorrect. Not only is the piano in tune, but it is voiced immaculately and sounds wonderful. How many pianos have you played in your lifetime? I have played hundreds of pianos and would love to play the instrument used for this recording exactly in the condition is was in when this was recorded.
Are you kidding us? You really really don't have any idea about pianos , don't you? I accept you don't like it for whatever reason but i will never be agree with you on the first.
This piano is tuned what you think is out of tune is probably the rich harmonics he uses when he powerfully sounds the bass notes, it creates an energy and noise that can be used for musical effect and he does it extremely well.
Think this is one of the most enchanting pieces of music I have ever heard

Williams made half Spielberg's money
Absolutely beautiful!
John Williams is the best film composer ever. Star Wars, E.T or Indiana Jones wouldn't been so great without his music.
John Williams is the best composer of our time. John is one of the best pianists as well. God bless the man is 81!

Sheet music please??
Did anyone manage to get it ?
I found where he got most of his material for this arrangement and he just condensed it with a few extra notes added which is possible to imitate.
Send me your email if you want it.
The beautiful opening is written out perfectly note for note.
And all these insane parallel broken chords, it’s really simple to workout once you see what he’s doing.
nada que ver con martin harris

Did any of you bother to read the original poster's username before wasting your time and effort replying? Hook, line and sinker.
