    " Recognize the America you grew up in was the odd thing... most of human history has been really tough... we were extraordinarily blessed in the generations in our rear view mirror and we wadded it up and threw it away, no one to blame but ourselves."
    These men truly do understand the times (1 Chron. 12:32).

    Thank you all .. but mostly Dr. White for your stories, insights, humour, and for always being generous with your knowledge, and holding fast to correct theology even if it means less riches in this life … 😥♥️

    So question, then: my father-in-law is in a difficult spot, in that his wife is obstinately opposed to going to church, lashes out at him whenever he asks her to come, mocks him consistently, etcetera. Would you say that the state of his wife’s hardened-ness is *his* fault-I.e something he needs to repent of?

    • @ChristKirk
      @ChristKirk  3 года назад +3

      Without knowing all the details, it certainly could be something he should repent of, as in, "Lord, please forgive me for not leading my wife well. Help me love her well and please soften her heart to your gospel." Obviously details would change exactly what his contribution to her spiritual state would be. And lastly, while he ought to take responsibility for his household before God, this does not mean that his wife is somehow off the hook. Hope that helps!

    Yes, a very good question: how do (so called) Christian "seminaries" justify putting new pastors into heavey debt, especially given the spartan pay the average pastor may receive throughout his years of service AND considering his responsibilities to his own wife and own children? Being a pastor is not a career. It is a calling to service...to God. Maranatha!

      Maybe you have heard of the Theology Pugcast, maybe not, but in this link they address this problem. I hope it is helpful.

      Not just french. There were entire classes that went to france to die. Geneva was growing martyrs. But i dont think calvin sent them necessarily by order but they wanted to go so he sent

      @@repentorperish1386 awesome thank you for that as im needing to be prepared for the coming persecution from this new worldwide daniel7 beast system that is causing all to bow in worship to it with certain rituals to show your allegiance. many around me have beed seduced by its flattery that it can be god and those who oppose it only cause it to get more angry and impliment more rituals to get non-believers to bow in worship. be blessed in jesus name.

      He is Jungian, who is as self-described “a pragmatist nested in Darwinism”. Truth is only true inasmuch as it is useful to the individual. His vague confession of an inability of his worldview to account for the spiritual value of human beings is not the same as belief, or nearing belief, in Christ the Logos. One can pray, but don’t mistake his teaching as nearing the truth of God.

    Jesus said to them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”
    The government can have my money, but my (unvaccinated) body belongs to Christ.

    @2419 and as a 60 yr old welcome gods chastening as he separates the church thats true from the false one. also to rejoice in the fact that his decrees for the one world beast system to be worldwide for the 1st time that we as his true bride will be persecuted as other saints have been for centuries. Persecution brings in reformation and revival. if im not grateful then im angry at gods omniscience as he knows whats needed to bring him glory and my good. eh.
