Veteran Hollywood industry figure and Rancho Mirage resident James B. Harris has had an indelible impact on American cinema, serving triple duty as a producer, director, and screenwriter. He partnered with legendary director Stanley Kubrick to produce several provocative classics including The Killing, Paths of Glory, and Lolita before moving on to produce and direct The Bedford Incident, along with a number of other feature films, working with the likes of Sidney Poitier, Richard Pryor, James Woods, Wesley Snipes, and Dennis Hopper. Harris will join us in the Community Room to screen some of his most well-known films with introductions from award-winning producer Steven C. Smith, followed by a moderated discussion and Q&A session.
