People in 2013: "A thousand dollars for a Titan? That's too expensive!"
People in 2020: "A thousand dollars for an RTX 2080 Ti? That's a great deal! Where'd you find a coupon that good?"

    • @Raulxz

No one in 2020 think $1000 for a 2080ti is a goo deal. I know this is a joke but it’s kind of dumb because it makes no sense. The 2080ti is one of the worst cards for price/performance even at $1000 it’s still a scam, the only people that buy it are youtubers or rich people that want to have the best of the best so they’ll pay premium. 2080 super is a much better choice (even tho it still doesn’t have good price/performance) because it’s $700 and it has around 5-10% fps loss in games

You can actually get an RTX 2060 for as low as 390 and the Super for about 450 minimum (using Amazon IT for reference)
The 2060 is already a great card, you can get some very cool looking ones for relatively low too, 2070 Super is probably what anyone sane should settle for, 2080S is great but barely worth it

That’s why I refuse to upgrade to the 2080ti. I’ll just wait a few years for a midrange card that is comparable. The 2080ti will be worth $200-$300 by then.

I saw one of these the other day on EVGA B stock refurb for $300. Pricey for the performance, but considering I paid $1000 each for mine when they first came out, it could be interesting if you already had one for SLI. These cards are from when over clocking was still fun. BIOS mod, unlimited power limit, 1450 MHz with liquid cooling

I picked up an R9 390x for $85 a couple weeks ago.... userbenchmark claims that the r9 is 15% faster than the original titan, and swings even with a 6gb 1060. i love the used graphics card market.

Info is wrong. 1060 6gb and amd 580 8gb are more on par. Your gpu is old and ripped off. 1060 6gb or 580 8gb go for $100 used

Back then SLI wasnt really good... Now with NVLINK SLI its way better as theres not one GPU as master and the other as slave but rather both working as if they were one and they even share memory now

That’s about what my Titan Xp runs at 100% fan speed screaming like a jet at stock (within 3-4x thermal limits, if you don’t max out fans it loses about 15% frequency and hits thermal limits). The blowers just suck (...and blow)
