Chicago rapper, Rico Recklezz sat down for another entertaining interview with DJ Vlad. The young rapper clarified his issues with TaySav and what led to the fight that happened during A3C. He then details how rap has changed his life, though the police in his hometown still target him, and how he's taken aback by some of his homies again falling victim to the system. Rico knows God. The way he was on fire when he heard that woman talking about God, the way he talks about God in other interviews.. I think it's also clear by the way he's choosing more and more to leave not only gang banging and body catching, but violent situations over all. He got off drugs except weed, his kids are doing well, he's doing well.. his heart seems to be good and he praises God and I believe it's so clear the Spirit is at work in him. It IS hard to say God would be for drill music Haha But you and I don't know God's plan for him. Like any of us he's a work in progress. My mom was a God fearing woman and did a LOT of shit over her life. Including having someone's house shot up over money. People definitely slip back into their sinner ways. He even acknowledged that fight situation as a test, and he's right. God tests his children, and Rico isn't done yet. Honestly it makes me excited for the life he may have. He's so much more smart and mature than he is funny to watch. He's a strong character and he's gonna have a lot of wisdom for people in the streets. The older and wiser he gets, the more he'll be able to help the youth in Chicago, maybe the ghetto at large. They'd never listen to someone outside of that life tell them anything. But Rico's got the stats. He's officially a chiraq vet. And if he grows stronger and stronger in the Lord, he's gonna be able to use all he knows and all God's grace to save some of the most hopeless people that need it the most. I honestly believe God is doing big things through Rico, or is preparing him for doing big things. Rico could be one of the few God fearing people that can hear a 15 year old be completely open about his life of catching bodies and drug dealing and robbing, and be able to understand and see the deeper parts at play in that situation rather than immediately be offended or stunned and judgemental.
And also, he seems to show real hope to keep his people out of the streets and in the studio, as well as taking care of his people in prison because he loves them. This is the Spirit of God
