Imagine our first contact with aliens are when they are trying to use our crystal to go back to their planet..and fail..and split into two...and rule us for centuries until they find out they can use humans to prolong their lives..and one of the last humans, a boy named Jen saves us..
I find it extremely *interesting* that we have given a Hint that the Crystal is Not the only if its kind/entitty... As the Urskeks have one in their homeward too, and appearently these crystals are indeed ''connected''
You know, the more I think about it, Raunip was kinda right to be suspicious of the Urskeks, they literally came to Thra and immediately took possession of the Crystal without asking, nor with permission, and encased it in a literal fortress styled in their homeworld....I mean sure, they said "the crystal belonged to everyone" yet didn't invite the Gelfling to help keep watch over the crystal, no I just think they wanted privacy to conduct their experiments without interference.
Really well explaining this fascinating story of an alien world in the dark fantasy's style, the world of The Dark Crystal is one of the most successful modern myths that we have known.
What I find so fascinating about the Dark Crystal is the symbolism, specifically the consequences of Hubris. For those not familiar with the term think of Hubris as whenever you think you know better than anyone else and later, whatever the heck it was you thought you knew better at, you decided to demonstrate such arrogance only to find out you just put your foot in your mouth and not only were you wrong you were dead wrong and there was no way around it without making it worse. In fact, let's say you do try to get around it and you do make it worse in that case you are just making it even more obvious even to the doubtful that you were wrong. That's basically what Hubris is. Anyway, it can best be seen as an allegory on the nature of truth that it's not something you can bend to your will without consequences. It is its own separate thing that is by nature Transcendent. In other words, the reason it can't be bent to your will is because it's beyond your will. It's nowhere close. You can interpret it or even try to understand this transcendent nature but in terms of control it is always beyond your reach. That's just the way it is. If someone guilty of a crime, let's say, and there is a ton of evidence he or she did it and he or she even confesses to the deed then it really doesn't matter how you can bend that fact to say he is innocent. He is guilty that is just the way the "truth" of it is. Same can be said for the evidence, his motive, etc. You may not like it, in fact you should be suspicious of any perceived truth you do like because rarely is anything "truthful" something everyone likes, but it is what it is.
I think it's implied to be skekSo. In the comic, the Skeksis who does so has a scepter with a half moon design, similar to the one skekSo ends up using.
Does anyone think that in the second season the general or garthim are going to locate and have the heratic and wanderer brought to the castle to be exicuted?
The Crystal of Truth was the beating heart of Thra, from which all life and energy was created. Do you think our planet has a Crystal too??
Could be in the center of earth
I don’t think so but if the earth had such a Crystal I think it would be pretty cool

Victory Ash they would not have the chance because Man would try that first if the Earth had such a treasure and it would be all about the money
But it’s in the middle of the earth it would be too hot to get it.

i like how this show seems like a science fiction story disguised as a fantasy
The music got me feeling emotional. The lore is amazing

I thought it was a metaphor for the third eye and the skekseies are reptillan and the gelflineg are humans
Oy! I was thinking the same thing.

Wow! So good as always!

This video was very helpful and well put together.
Where did the UrSkeks come from? What is their homeworld?
Love your videos ❤️❤️❤️ always waiting for the next 😜
I wonder when the nexts season coms
It’s been canceled
Awesome video! I absolutely loved it
I’ve always wondered about where you get the music from could you put links to the songs you put in your videos?
Excellent video, do you plan to do one about the shard/false shards?
How long is a trine?
For next video can you make an skeksis alliance display for us? I would like to know their alliances And reasons, like you mention on some of then.
It’s been so long since you’ve made a video when are you going to make another one
What about skekgra bio
I was wondering which of the Skeksis struck the crystal and broke it? My two best guesses are SkekSo or SkekShod.
It was SkekSo
I think it's implied to be skekSo. In the comic, the Skeksis who does so has a scepter with a half moon design, similar to the one skekSo ends up using.
sam rizzardi hmm🤔
The crystal seemed to be cracking against all those bolts of electricity. I wonder if it's a good deal more fluid than anyone thinks.

I read all worlds have a crystal like it
Please make another video it’s been forever I’m starting to worry.
Thra is PTAH and the crystal is the Center Sun.
What if the Crystal of Truth was actually a giant kyber crystal
What about the bio of skekgra, skekeer, skekhak, and skekyi
Greetings from the Great White Void.
UrSen, UrSen, UrSen!!!
Was the so-called "Darkheart" consumed by the energy of their brothers' splitting? If not, what then ever happened to SkekDark and UrHeart?
Lol that’s not how it works
Dark Heart was likely SilSol

This sounds like the Bible lore but in a fantasy world
But now there are no more Mistics and Skeksis. Good thing that there's the Omnitrix! "Uncataloged Skeksi DNA detected. DNA acquired and available!".
But the skeksis are that of a halved entity, would the Omnitrix be truly able to accept it?
@@jordantucker9799 Yes. Here's an example: Gax.
