@@corbin8876 call ARS if you are buying a partial rack (I ordered 4 singles to start) and in person they re-worked the shipping from freight$$$$, to UPS ground $$. Saved tons!
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures I know they enjoy the dark but how do they get a day and night cycle in tubs like this?? Mine don't come out and explore until I make it completely dark for them to do so, no matter what time it is.
Do you have video of your rack system how to fix and assembly, and how to do a home DIY rack system, for my idea only want to build my own rack system, much better if the rack system is collapsible
I'm using paper towels temporarily as a substrate. Underneath the paper the temp reads closer to the thermostat setting but on top of the paper it reads lower. What temp should I use to calibrate my heat hide? Does the snake receive heat at a temperature between the two readings?
I had to use an oil filled heater to get everything to even out. I have a dedicated room that stays between 80-81 with ambient temps in the tubs around 82-83. The heater is set up on its own thermostat.
that rack with the 7030 and the other 2 tub sizes, those all stack together without any modifications? are they all non-hybrid models? and which models are those? I'd like to make a rack just like that.
If you have about two dozen ball pythons in your collection, would you put the money from selling hatchlings towards paying off your investment you're already spent or putting part of the funds towards expanding your projects? Like 100% pay off initial investment vs 50/50 paying off and expanding
You actually need more then one hide and they dont like open space so if all you had was one hide and not a lot of clutter then yeah they will stay in the hide all the time. None of mine stay in their hide all day and night. They come out and bask under the light or lay somewhere else, explore and move from one hide to another. They will also chill on top of their branches.
I’m about to bite the bullet and get their new ARS 8016, I like that they have a window in them still so I am see them peek out, since they do that pretty often in their exo terras that they are starting to grow out off
What if power went out for a day or two in your area. Do you have a generator or will the snakes be ok. As I type this, I realize I don't have a concrete plan in place.
Update on Baby she finally ate today, 6 weeks. For some reason all I could remember was Bobby. I have watched so many videos with Bobby that I had to search his name. 🤦♀️
Love this mans honesty
Perfect timing! I'm very close to buying my first ARS rack and this video was perfect!
Bobby needs a gold star with his name on it for his tub😉
Awesome video. Thank you
I just purchased my first set of ARS the other day & am waiting on them to ship. This couldn't have came at a better time 😂 much appreciated!
The shipping is insane for me, over $300 just to ship them
@@corbin8876 yeah, shipping was no joke 😅 I bought 2 half racks and it cost me a fortune

What if the heat tape quit working? Are you able to peel it off and reconnect and glue it back on?
Yes
Heat tape isn't glued on. It's not really tape in that sense.

Hey what’s going on with your Albino clown pied project?
Where do you get this set up? Thanks
Just got my 1st 7010 Hybrid and I LOVE it!!! 🤙🏼
Same here. I just got a 7030. After years of my old homemade rack it’s was life changing.
How long did it take for them to ship? I ordered mine a month ago and still hasn't shipped 😕
@@markgardner8145 mine took just about 2 months to ship/arrive. Which is pretty good compared to freedom breeder which Ive heard is up to 6 months!

I just got a 7030 hybrid, so this may be a silly question. What do you use to keep the probe from sliding off of the heat panel?
I’m actually going to be getting a 7030 hybrid soon myself, have you figured this out?
@@EvilSewnit I ended up just putting clear tape over the cord part but not the end of probe. It’s worked just fine, it hasn’t moved at all. 🙂
How do you control humidity
What about day/night cycle?
do u ever get worried about plugging to many things into one outlet?
No one worries about that until you blow a fuse 😂
Hello from Washington DC
Hey Chris huge fan. What are those blue tags on your tubs?? And do you have a web site. Thanks
What about their lighting?
If you had to build an external shed for a snake room, what would you do?
How can I get the ambient temp in the tub up without heating the entire room

No, I went back to coconut husk chips.
