Nice video. I like the analysis you made on the tens. Proper use of the block bet. If you would have checked you would probably be forced to call a larger river bet. I like turning some of those qj hands into 3 bets if you believe players have a wider than standard opening range. But i also dont mind folding there either. Not really a call. But theres still a small frequency where it makes sense. Good raise to get the pot. You certainly were behind! Using the board and blockers to help you get the pot was pro move
Good profit for a short session that had a more swingy potential. Well done and figured on that last hand (JQclub). Yeah, I don't know when my neighbor, Dr Lin bit you but he infected you with the shitty repetitious notes with minor changes disease. Try some amoxicillin maybe? 😂. Now I just have to own it since I feel like a jerk from my first critique anyway. Good win
It's also dependent on player and circumstance. But in general, I'd say that the shorter the stack, the wider the range. And of course they can aways show up with premiums as well =)
@KeevinPokerVlog poker! Andre and I used to talk shit to each other and keep the gang entertained 🤣 Anyway, glad you're doing well, I was surprised by the rare name keevin, I thought it might have been you and it was!
That's hilarious. I'm guessing that you are Mr. V (first name initial). If your name doesn't start with a "V" I actually have no clue at the moment lol. Either way, maybe we are due for a reunion at VRC =)
Typical rake structure here is 10+2. That's 10% of the pot capped at $10. Then another $2 for the promos (bad beat jackpot, high hand). The rake is one of the main things that make 1/3 so tough. I couldn't say exactly. But without the rake, hourly rate would probably be a few more bbs per hour which is huge.
Not really. I actually mistyped the duration of the session in the graphic. I played for 3 hours and 6 minutes. The hourly is correct but the duration is not. Thanks for catching that.
@@KeevinPokerVlog what is the average rake ? I play online with PlayNow so rather unfamiliar with live games but been wanting to try a live table starlight usually seems easy to get a seat at
The rake for 1/3 here is usually 10% of the pot, capped at $10. Then another $2 for bad beat jackpot and high hand promos. Starlight is a good one to start. Not too busy, very friendly staff and I've encountered the most new players here.
14:00 QJc, I like how you played this one. Well done! Obviously, you forced AQ to fold. 98% of players of this stake would've folded the same hand.
Thank you =). I'm guessing I did get something like a strong one pair hand to fold (AQ, QK, maybe even KK, AA). Fortunately it worked out this time.
Thank you for the sweat. Great bluff at end, who knows, he might have had Q10.
Yea you never know. How great it would be if he actually had q10 and decided to hero call =)
great play and analysis, and great video. looking forward to more coolguy

Good session. My preferred time is 3-5 hours now...don't really like to do the 8-12 hour ones anymore.
Yea I feel like I'm getting too old for the marathons now too.

I was at this poker room last night I really like it here. Small room with people that know everyone there.
GG
interesting, in live games, when short stack shoves pre flop, that's usually middle pocket pair or A high hand. Rarely a premium hand?!

Mr Keevin, you came up on my youtube recommendation by chance, we used to play at the VRC together. Cheers bro and good luck
O that's awesome! Did we play poker or badminton?

@KeevinPokerVlog yes sir, you're right, it is V. 🤣 A reunion sounds good! In the mean time, keep winning! 🤞
Thanks for the great vlogs. I would be interested in knowing how much rake has affected your win rates. What is the rake at these casinos now?

Oh, looks like they got new chips
Yup they were nice and clean. Dunno how long that will last though =)
Is your hourly calculated correctly at the end of the video?
Not really. I actually mistyped the duration of the session in the graphic. I played for 3 hours and 6 minutes. The hourly is correct but the duration is not. Thanks for catching that.
wondering if I might be in one of these videos lol
EDIT: also what are you using to capture?
What’s the highest stake that runs here if you don’t mind?
2/5
Do they just take a take rakes ? Or you have to pay to sit down ?
Raked game. All the casino poker rooms in lower mainland BC are raked.
