One of the best things about your interviews, Mover, is that you allow your guests to speak without interruption and interjecting non pertinent comments. Many other interviewers would do well to follow your example. It makes a huge difference. You guests are endlessly interesting.
Exactly right. Mover is great at what he does.
I love the bird trying to be a part of the interview. Stormy said in episode 1 that he loved birds.
That bird drove me nuts. It had just the right sound to cause me severe discomfort.
@@GrizzAxxemann for real, I love the interview but man I was losing it with the bird.
I live down the road from Beale in Lincoln Ca. We get the pleasure of seeing the U-2 fly overhead almost daily. What a beautiful aircraft.
I absolutely loves this man's stories and how he tells them. He is going to forget more about these aircraft than most people will ever know.
That was a fast 28:59 minutes, Mover. Fascinating. Keep ‘em coming. Thanks to Stormy for his time sharing all his knowledge on these aircraft.
OUTSTANDING video's with Major Boudreaux. Such a soft spoken, unassuming pilot I have never met. I am totally in awe!
Great interview Mover, can’t wait for part 4!
Stormy, you're awesome!! A great interview Mover. Thank you!
Had the chance to ride in the U-2 chase car at Osan back in 1998! Very cool! Cheers, Skid
I love these interviews man, it's really cool to hear about these peoples' lives.
Yes it is!
Very nice interview
Great installment just like the rest. Thank you so much for this interview series.
Awesome C W great stories Stormy
He's absolutely correct! Either you get it or you don't with Dragonlady
I want Stormy to teach me to fly. Is there anything this man hasn't flown? His knowledge and experiences are invaluable. Has he written a book? Great series Mover. Waiting for part 4.👍🇺🇲
Hi my name is Matthew I have autsim I'm honorary reserve police officer.
Just let you know thank you for your service in military and law enforcement thank you
Great interview and great storys 👍🏼🎗🇺🇸
More people need to view this - really cool interview!
Sometime around 1986-7, Greenham Common ALCM/SS-20 protest era, I was at a briefing from the guys at RAF Alconbury and the Base Cdr told me they were getting a lot of hassle from CND who had decided that the TR-1s were carrying nuclear-armed cruise missiles under their wings. Wouldn't believe anything else!
good stuff Mover and Stormy
Very interesting 👍
This is such a cool interview series!
Cabin altitude at Cruise? This is WONDERFUL!
Wow, what experiences this man has had. Most astronauts haven't done a lot of the things he has.
When Stormy was talking about the feeding tube it brought to mind a test mission we were doing at Pax River with a U2 that was coming up from Patrick almost daily. He had a pre-programmed racetrack pattern in his nav system once he reached the Warning area in the mid-Atlantic area off the coast. As mission controllers, our main job was just to advise him if we saw him deviating too close to boundaries, handle coordination with other controlling agencies, and mostly to check in with him on the radio about every 20 minutes or so to make sure he was still awake. He hadn't been in his pattern too long when we called and asked how things were going and he reported back that it had just become a long flight for him. He was trying to eat one of those squeeze tube dutch apple pie treats and a chunk of apple that didn't get mashed up enough got stuck in the feed tube and blocked it. I guess he could still get a little fluid through but he couldn't flush out the apple nugget enough to get anything else to pass.
I really enjoy all of your videos, especially these interviews, and I am an avid reader of your Spectre books.
Another Great Mover Interview. And I'm still curious who are the 5-6 people are that show up and "Unlike" these videos .
They were drunk and hit the wrong button
Tinnitus suffering ex army 😳😳
Great interview i learned a lot about the U2. Was he interviewed on him flying the SR?
Yup. Next video.
@@CWLemoine thanks looking forward to it
Such a great listen!
What a legend good stuff
Good man!
Super entertaining interview. The way business was conducted has sure changed. Guys were given credit for knowing something then, not having to be spoon fed.
The Western Museum of Flight has a terrific RUclips video (dated 9 February 2021) about reconnaissance camera systems on the Northrop RF-5E. It’s a useful complement to Stormy's exposition on piloting the U-2.
I bet the cross-wind limits were tight!
Love watching Move fanboi over Stormy. Totally get it - the guy has had a brilliant career. .. and Mover - make sure he gets his book done!
So cool, Thanks. Just THANKS
Stormy,
Jim Thompson from Alconbury. Hope you are well!!! Great interview Buddy.....
Thank you Sir
Can't wait for the Blackbird segment. Sad they're replacing the craft with a drone.
Oh man, the mask and glasses is the struggle of covid!
Slightly unrelated question I always had: Do most new pilots eventually figure out formation flight or is that something that's just always hard and washes out a bunch of new pilots from the programs?
Yes, they figure it out.
@@CWLemoine Thank you, and cheers! :)
Never before have I wanted a bird to stay silent more than this interview
Those are some happy birds. ;-)
Wait are U-2s still in use?
Very very interesting, but that damn bird in the background about drove me crazy!
Great interview, 😀 but in one particular regard, it was “strictly for the birds”.🤔
