- www.DadLabs.com - Family movie night is one of the most popular activities for parents and their kids. In this episode of Gear Daddy, Daddy Troy shows you how you can take movie night outdoors by using a backyard home theater. All you need is a multimedia projector, movie screen, sound system and DVD player. There are also companies like Fun Flicks that will come to your home and set up everything for you. We travel to Daddy Owen's house to check out his outdoor home theatre. Learn about the different types of movie screens available for purchase. Also learn what a lumen is and how many lumens to look for in projectors. DadLabs Ep. 663 is brought to you in conjunction with Man of the House. Distributed by Tubemogul.

You guys are awesome! Thanks for making these. :D
Very informative video. Thanks!
Love this, you've inspired me!
I don't have a 16' screen, but I don't have room for one. I have a 120" screen, a projector with 2800 lumens, and a set of 5000watts (each) DJ party speakers. The Amazon Fire tv stick with alexa, and a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver dongle that transmits to both speakers at once, so I only need one cord for the projector because the speakers are battery operated and last 5-6 hours on a charge. I sometimes use a blue ray player but either way it's like a 120 inch smart tv. They have smart projectors under 100$ as well that although they require a dark environment they display movies quite well. I would say that I have around $600 invested.
Hi Leo, What Bluetooth transmitter do you have? I bought one on Amazon for around 25.00 and I cant get it to connect to my Bluetooth soundbar from my projector.
thanks
This video is 10 years old and I just bought a projector called MOGO pro period and I'm ashamed to say that it's lumens are 300 measly projector. Seems like it doesn't even meet the standards of 10 years. I seen on Amazon where some of the projectors are 3,000 lumens and them projectors are like a hundred bucks I paid $550 for this 300 lumen projector. Shopping for projectors is not as easy as it seems. I will have to do more homework perhaps send this thing back
That's harvey movie!
tell them come on over , offer a good drink or if they don't drink offer some good food trust me that will work on most folks
$10k setup is crazy. It is CHEAP to build a simple rig with some wood or PVC pipes, some thin plywood, drywall mud, and white paint.
This would disturb my neighbors.
The front yard theater sucked.
