Excellent review. What a beautiful and exquisite masterpiece of engineering. Can't wait to purchase one asap. Omega at their best in watch revolution. I will pick an Omega any time of the day. 👍😁
This in fact is a cool watch - in any sense! When you got yours let me know. I am curious to read about your daily experiences with that Speedmaster...
Although I am not a fan of skeletonized dials I very much like this Speedmaster. The execution of the surfaces and the make is unparalleled ... Congratulations! The greatest pleasure lies in the anticipation! Enjoy every second until you get your Speedmaster...
@@WatchAdvisor Of course I keep it on. I need the time even when gardening. And due to its water resistant I can work also in my pond. This masterpiece is predestinated to be worn outdoors.
If the force used to break the ceramic tank armor given it's surface area relative to the impact point is aimed at your watch given it's size you've got bigger problems than losing a watch. lmao
Yes! It would be great! I can't take another limited edition speedmaster! "100" similiar limited editions do not really fit into the idea of "limited edition". It only dilutes the image of the brand. Back to the roots! Less upgrades and creativity but more rareness, authenticity, tradition and heritage. Keep it simple, Omega! Look at Rolex: Many models - YES At the same time - NEVER Radical changes - NEVER Limited production - ALWAYS Limited edition - ONCE IN A LIFETIME IN CONCLUSION, THE CUSTOMER CAN RELY ON ROLEX AND KNOWS WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE BRAND -> WELL DEFINED IMAGE. Look at Omega: Many models - YES At the same time - ALWAYS Radical changes - VERY OFTEN Limited production - ALWAYS Limited edition - ALWAYS IN CONCLUSION, THE CUSTOMER DOESN'T KNOW WHICH MODEL HE/SHE SHOULD BUY AND WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OMEGA. -> IMAGE IS NOT CLEAR. Omega needs some (only a handful) new and VERY different watches instead of many slightly different limited edition or limited production watches of iconic designs. Omega destroys its own value. Overall, Omega has to get a sharper, more defined image. Omega did too much. Less is more. And, by the way, good work!
Omega was making a grand overhaul of their whole line. They had lost touch with the market and Rolex took all the praise for years. Starting with the Pierce Brosnan Bond watch though, they really started gaining ground. Creating a new movement to replace the Eta's and Valjoux movements to something that is In House and an amazing tech like the CoAxial (and now Master class) was a huge step too. I suspect they have been shotgunning different models to further confirm what the consumer really likes and values the most in a mechanical timepiece. But I think they are at the point where they have that figured out and in so many ways, what they've created exceeds what Rolex has on the market (though still not having as big a name yet). Now they are going to start limiting lineups, creating more exclusivity, more rarity, all with superior movements and modern stylings. If that works, I suspect that they can retake the domination they had previous to the Digital Depression and become the bigger name brand over Rolex. Probably will still take a generation or two, but I think they have the strategy down to do it.
Looks like a toy with that yellow and black, and very much like a racing watch, so not sure about the moon and apollo references. Second, it's big, very big. And three, you can get a preowned caliber 321 for that price. So as a lover of the historic, collectible 321 and Apollo-era 861 (pre-1972), I really dont understand this iteration and its pricing...
The tech is modernized and so is the styling. As much as the original is a great looking watch, it isn't really that great a movement. Kind of reminds me of the James Bond Aston Martin; gorgeous to look at but a slog to actually drive. There's a lot more to this new one that really puts it up to spec while still holding the familiarity of the classic. Not everyone is going to be in love, but it is a pretty amazing timepiece nonetheless.
bad comparison, they understand in a different way design, there is a different culture and different design.... and comparing a Seiko with an Omega... wtf
I love it. A home run for omega.
This can be my only watch in the rest of my life..
gilang putra Never say only watch... Collecting watches makes addictive, so it is highly likely that you will buy more than only one watch...
I have it man; I'm always astonished and hipnotized while staring at the dial. Crazy Speedmaster
@@ddsgabo how is the general readability of the time under different light conditions?
Really like the look of the moon dial

I wanted the Pepsi rolex with the jubilee bracelet...boy was I wrong...I must have this one instead
The price is?
Just ordered this watch ;)

Is the facsimile an accurate representation of the actual topography of the 'dark side' of the moon?

Yeah skeleton version.
I wear it for gardening.
Slurm for free Are you serious? Just for curiosity...
@@WatchAdvisor Yes. I am not one of those upstarts who have an army of gardeners.
Slurm for free That was not what I meant... One can always take the watch off... and I was wondering if you keep yours on while gardening....

Slurm for free Well take good care of your ticking beauty...
Steel Rolex Pepsi or this?...I am torn
Amazing... but too expensive for my burse for sure...
so it's no self winding? did I understood correctly?...
Yes, you are correct.
speedmaster series are all hand winding.
h iphoi, That's not correct. There are some Speedmasters with the calibre 3220 movement. Which is, of course, automatic.
Ceramic is great for coffee cups. I am not so sure about it for watch cases.
Coffee and watches - why not both? :D
Ceramic is great for body and tank armor too. there are different levels to it.
If the force used to break the ceramic tank armor given it's surface area relative to the impact point is aimed at your watch given it's size you've got bigger problems than losing a watch. lmao
But, the coffe cups are not made in ceramic.
Modern ceramics are fine for watches, providing your're not going to be using it to knock nails into wood
omega has way too many models
it even has more current models than tag heuer
omega watches lost their rareness
then the desire to own one is lost too
They are actually reducing the size of their collections! Wait and see. :)

Look at Rolex:
Many models - YES
At the same time - NEVER
Radical changes - NEVER
Limited production - ALWAYS
Limited edition - ONCE IN A LIFETIME
IN CONCLUSION, THE CUSTOMER CAN RELY ON ROLEX AND KNOWS WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE BRAND -> WELL DEFINED IMAGE.

At the same time - ALWAYS
Radical changes - VERY OFTEN
Limited production - ALWAYS
Limited edition - ALWAYS
IN CONCLUSION, THE CUSTOMER DOESN'T KNOW WHICH MODEL HE/SHE SHOULD BUY AND WHAT TO EXPECT FROM OMEGA. -> IMAGE IS NOT CLEAR.

Aha but by having so many models the chance of you bumping into someone with the same watch becomes slimmer... thus the watch is rarer ;)
You talk about max 10,000 price range. Not 50k exclusivity..

Hard to tell what time it is with all that business on the face.
Hmm, it looks like a Tag.
Fuck ceramic give us steel !!! Steel is real
I really don't like it, way too busy dial and overall design. It's just too much, it's tireing.
bad comparison, they understand in a different way design, there is a different culture and different design.... and comparing a Seiko with an Omega... wtf
I like it. Not to much at all. Looks refreshing and interesting and sporty..
It's not busy .you need to look it directly then you know OMEGA watch is different from other brand.
