Blade Runner 2049 - Officer K's Badge Prototype

  • Replica of Officer K's badge. Not bad, but not perfect - still needs a clear plastic wrap over the components, but I couldn't take the badge out to show the back if I did that.
    The badge is cold-cast aluminum, and molded from a resin 3D print off my Peopoly Moai. The 'screen' is an iphone backlight powered by a pair of 3V coin cells. A magnet is hidden behind the screen, which trips a reed switch hidden behind the badge to turn the display on when the wallet is opened.

    Dude, I know this vid is 4 years old, but will you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make a tutorial video or something explaining? I’m trynna make one and am not good at electronic stuff so me trying to reverse engineer this is proving to be impossible 😂

    bump; is there any plans or parts list to do a DIY kit from a standard I’d wallet?? I’m just looking to add the led glow/ screen on when open for my own business brand
