    All Lonzo gotta do is work on his FT's/Lay up-package and then he'll be able to unlock his PnR game. Don't need to drastically improve scoring when you have Jrue/BI/Zion/shooters. The FT's and finishing should be Zo's next project.

    I think it is an understatement to say "he got better". If you look at his form on a number of his moves (that jumpshot) you can tell he has really made some drastic changes to improve. It requires a certain level of humility to be able to do that. With that kind of approach to the game, barring injury, I think he will continue to get better. Honestly I love watching him play most for his passing. Which is the part of his game that has been consistently great from the moment he entered the NBA. His court vision is what could make him a future star more than anything else.

      @aw2584 4 года назад +4

      Am I missing something here? He improved his FG% a bit, now he averages around 12 points instead of 10 like his previous two seasons, but in terms of assists he actually had better numbers as a rookie: 7.2 per game and now he's at 7.0. He's not terrible but he hasn't improved much, maybe on highlights and clips on RUclips but not if you watch the whole game

    • @velldome
      @velldome 4 года назад +21

      A W it shows you didn’t watch any pelicans games lol, before the season was postponed lonzo was killing it from the three, free throw percentage was up, defense was amazing. He was running the floor with Zion, if you do not see improvement you are one blind casual basketball fan.

    • @aw2584
      @aw2584 4 года назад +1

      @@velldome Peter Tama I don't remember it that much since it was 3 months ago so I checked his stats (for the last 4 games). IDK where you got that FT% improvement from as he shot 50% on average which is below his standard % and overall terrible for a PG but it's not fair to judge him for it as he only shoots like 2 free throws per game. His defence was always good so I haven't noticed any difference tbh.
      I'll give you the three point shooting as during those last 4 games he shot 58% from deep which is great, but my problem with your statement is you just claim he totally improved based on few games while the 4 games before the very last 4 he shot 21% from the 3point line so go figures, even Jeremy lin had few great games but that didn't mean he just magically improved in few days to become a superstar, it just so happens he had a hot streak. you can't just judge his whole career or even this season on few games, especially when this whole year in total his stat sheet looks the same as the previous one.

      its dumb when players take it personally when they get traded for a star player. Like the only reason Kuz didn't get traded was because the Pels thought Lonzo and BI were better. Lakers didn;t trade Lonzo because he sucked, they traded him because he was one of their best young players, which is the cost of getting a great player like AD. To get something good, you have to give up something good if it's a trade. The Pels wanted Lonzo more than BI, and insisted Lonzo was apart of the deal. I'm sure the Lakers wanted to keep Lonzo, and instead give up BI and Kuz, but Pels weren't going to do that.

    He rebounds extremely well fa his position.
    He’s a great playmaker, he’s a great facilitator, he’s a great defender and he has great length fa a PG.

    Lonzo Ball has turned me into a believer. The 1-2 punch of him and Zion will be special to watch for years to come. Matching him with Lebron(a ball dominate hybrid running point guard) severely stunted Lonzo’s growth. Now Lonzo can play to his full potential and I can see him and Zion as a more athletic Stockton/Malone. It’s not crazy to think he can become a perennial all star.

    Lonzo has improved his shooting form and is playing with more confidence this season which has greatly improved his game along with playing in an uptempo paced offense which he did while he was at UCLA. The next step for Lonzo is improving his free throw shooting percentage and consistently attacking the basket aggressively. He is a floor general in an era predicated on 3 point shooting and floor spacing, but if you surround him with knock down shooters he will excel. Also what can't be taken for granted is his contributions on the defensive side of the ball he is a really good defender and has good defensive IQ. I predict Ingram, Zion, and Lonzo can be All-Stars next season if they remain healthy. Pelicans will be exciting to watch.

      He'll become more assertive once he believes it's the best thing for the team. That's the thing that guys like Kobe and MJ have brainwashed people with- that you need to "be a dog" to make yourself, I mean ofc it worked for them, but Lonzo isn't that, but what he is doing is having the right mentality for himself. There are many ways to skin a cat, and the league needs intelligent facilitators like him. He'll step it up in a year or two once it becomes the efficient play (which it will do, he's only going to improve as long as he doesn't get tied down by injuries).

      D. Hunt Bruh, you're acting like im hating on lonzo or that i want him to fail lmao. It's not an opinion, Lonzo could be an all str but he is NOT an mvp level player. and frankly, all star is generous at this point. he still needs to develop more. but all star potential. there is no mvp potential in lonzo. He's a great player but quit acting like he's something hes not. The hype that ppl like u give him is why he went 2nd overall

      @@killionaire6891 all that shit you just said is why you a doubter, if you don't watch him play...STFU! Yea he got room to grow but he definitely can be MVP level. He already shoot as good as luka Doncic this season look at there percentages. Back in January Lonzo had 5 straight 20+ point games, of course with them assist and rebounds he always get. The only difference between Lonzo and "MVP" level people you are talking about is that Lonzo is not a ball hog. Zo ups his teammates instead of just himself. Lonzo could score 20 points every game if he wanted to, but he doesn't because first, he does not need to. He got zion, JJ, Jrue, and BI who can easily score 20. Second he is not selfish, a lot of the players want to eat and Zo is being what a Point God should be.

    Thanks for the trade AD. We just wait till this core blossom more. Zion was really meant for Zo. They are perfectly in sync. Plus, we have BI who can shoot on and off the ball. Jaxson who can still develop into an elite center match up with his athletic ability. Hart, who can bring energy into the bench. Melli, who can space the floor with his shooting.

    He can easily average over 20 if he was more aggressive. He can shoot better now and will only improve, he’s a big guard so he can get in the paint and with his size and height he can back down any guard in the league like he did in that clip to Beverly
