I have to say these appliances are stunning! They look the best of equipment and it is so nice to see new appliances! Can anybody confirm the home stations for these new life saving machines?
Firefighter_responding I think the first is stationed in Edinburgh? But the other 4 should be going to Aberdeen Central, Dundee, Kirkcaldy and Edinburgh McDonald Rd as well
Was hoping to hear that maybe the west of Scotland would be getting at least 1 of them. The local station here has a 51' plate scania Hydraulic Platform, think it needs an update also.
Aberdeen Central's one is also a 51 plate too, and I'm pretty sure there are due more. I know somebody who should know, so I can ask him if any more are due.
The person in the know has got back to me a little while ago. He confirmed that the ALPs are going to Aberdeen Central to replace their 51 plate, Dundee, Kirkcaldy and Edinburgh's McDonald Rd while the Turntable Ladder (the one in front) has been stationed at Tollcross in Edinburgh for the last few months. He also confirmed that 2 more are currently being built and there are unconfirmed reports that they will be stationed in the West. It is unknown if any more are due after these 2. Glad I can be of help! :)
