I haven’t taken the dongle out the box yet I’ve only paired with Bluetooth on 2 devices. I’m surprised homatics had an issue you got the remote into Bluetooth pairing mode and homatics searching for Bluetooth as well? And no luck ? That’s odd. But the x6 & x9 I didn’t bother using the dongle I always wind up loosing them. They should color code them lol. But button mapper is a good idea glad you figured out the settings button.
Yeah, like I said, I got a pretty early model and very well could have been a demo, not fully ready for prime-time. I agree 100% on the dongles. Way too many of those rto keep track of, between wireless mice, keyboard and game controllers - none of them marked in any way.

any remote that doesn't have a dedicated number pad is a fail for me it's too fiddly to get a Numbers using functions there are plenty out there that have not only full numbers but also backlit.

This is not my main one I use because you can't get it any more but I use this one With my Nvidia shield in my bedroom.
My main remote for my HTPC isipazzport keyb kp-810-30, However this neither has backlit keys on number keys but I use this one because it's perfect for windows because it has lots of windows keys on the front of the remote plus 6 ir programmable keys as well so you can control windows and your receiver volume etc all on the same remote with ease without having to use a complicated setup
I have a question for u. How do I turn my 5G internet to 2.4Gz so I can run my camera and camera doorbell?

Is there a risk of typing and pressing on wrong button on the other side
Great question. I didn't have any issues with that happening. The design seems pretty good where your hands naturally hold the edges without accidentally pressing the buttons on the flip side. I've played with this thing a bunch and it didn't happen once. 👍
