This is 1000% true. You can't expect a job with a student visa like some western countries. You will not be considered for a job no matter your experience and skills. Can't get a job even after graduation without TOPIK level 4 to 6. You may try for the medical field or IT. It's more a place to enjoy your free time or money but not cooperative for life settlement in Korea. I have come here expecting a bright future and job as the fee is less compared to western countries but except that it's even hard to get a part time job while studying

South Korea discriminate based on your ethnic like India , they don't discriminate against other countries as compared to hate against India and it has been there for a long time .American,Canada started discrimination against India just recently , there was literally very less in the past as compared to south korea , Japan is better than south korea in term of discrimination although they do discriminate but less and not based on ethnic like south korea, American,Canada etc Japan discriminate because they don't like outsider or preserv their culture very much like a silent country. Take example of northeast India where people are sensitive about their culture and mizorm, meghalaya which is type of silen culture.
