The problem isn't the beat, he just ruined the instrumental , the guitar is Hella washed out and tones are way more flat, he over used autotune on the actual version, and the beat overpowers his voice in it too, in this all the beat does is compliment his rapping, his voice is still 100% the Centerpoint of the song, in the actual release the entire song leans way to heavily on the beat, which they couldn't even nail what made the song so addicting, the acoustic feel of the song is what made the Gitar sound good, but they completely removed that aspect and replaced it with a dry, basic sounding beat
