This was the first song that the Late Ouma Omore recorded when he joined hands with Omollo Mwanda, Okumu Jully and about 15 other guys to form Jolly Boys Band. It was the most talent crowded band in Benga history (18 man band). This band gave the late Collela Mazee sleepless nights between 1980 - 1987. In 1985 he stole from them Odiwuor Manyona and Ali Oyuech. Not stopping them he went ahead to convince Okumu Jully to lead the split in 1988. Sometimes our heroes are also Ogres in a way or another. Gone are them days!
I always appreciate the in depth information you give us about this group. We keep on learning every day you write something. Continue my brother. May the great Allah give you a long life.
@Benbellah Okwatch Omoro & @Jamigori1 thanks both for keeping golden benga tunes alive and also attaching information about the great legends who brought us those good tunes... we can only appreciate & enjoy more through sharing least we loose all those memories....
@@Jamigori1, we really do appreciate you bro. You always give us all the necessary information about these heroes. I was requesting that you guys give us a brief history of Kasongo wuod gi Ayiera and his legendary Migori Super Stars band. I really don't know why there isn't more of Kasongo online! Otherwise may God bless you.
Thank you very much, Benbellah for uploading this masterpiece. Kindly do the same with the following, please. Oginga wuod Okeyo, Hera ong'iewo ndege and Hera duto oyomba , respectively.
My very sincere regret.... that all this amazing talent is no more with us! Let us all take solace in the fact that they have left us a most memorable heritage!
Great work Benbellah for keeping Classic Jolly Boys Alive, when Prince Jully, Omore Mamor, Omollo Mwanda and the other band members were together it was a golden era... Can we also get Omollo Mwanda Songs.....
Sadly, most of them are copyrighted. Each time I post, I have to bring it down, and that leads to my account being earmarked by RUclips. I do not want to lose the account. Contact me and I will send you the song you want privately
Ben Ali me nitire e wendni...his guitar was magical you can not miss the pick! He played it in a manner reminiscent of the great Blues electric guitar players! Gilwongo nyinge in the chorus chants!!
Benbella, Nowadays you are not giving us the introductory part on your uploads, where you could give brief details of the guys who took part in a particular song. Can you make it for this song only if you don't mind please.

The ghosts of VB Kings and Omore Kings intertwined with Chomeka very much alive.... was Chumbi Waya on any guitar here??
No, he wasn't here. But he picked guys from here later.
