- I went down to the Coomera River this morning to chase some whiting. The river is still a little dirty but some nice whiting were caught.
The weather forecast was not great so I was hoping for a quick session to try and avoid the wind and the rain.
The biggest whiting went 39cm and the overall quality was good in the north arm of the river. I believe another two weeks of little or no rain will see the bigger boys come out and play.
Some nice fish there. Great to know they’re around despite the fresh.
Great video, catching a mudcrab on the Alvey / Jimmy Crane did make me smile. Thanks
Good stuff John. What boat ramp are you at?
The boat ramp at Banksia Park
@@johnthefishingman how does it go during the week? Busy?
@@shaneallen4042 There are not too many parking bays so I usually get there early. If there is no parking I would just go over the bridge to Jabiru Island boat ramp. It is pretty big. So far, I have had no issues with parking but as I said, I do get there early.
Was it still dirty because were planning a trip to the in our boat were cause of dirty water
It wasn't too bad - unsure whqt it will be like after the rain on Friday.
good stuff mate there is some nice fish there
Thanks Tony - What is the Logan River like at the moment?
