@@gregjames5070 Yes, they probably will, but that's the cool thing about the free market. People will take their business elsewhere to buy the equipment where it is made in America and therefore cheaper and vice versa. Made in America equals more American jobs, which is the goal.

More than that: we've got to keep a framework of heavy industry in the US so we don't get held hostage by other countries. Farming is life - try not eating. If they pile of to Mexico, I think Deere is in for a rude awakening: once they are just another offshored vendor, farmers will look at all the others out there. And guess what: if Deere saves 40% on labor, they re going to have to cut prices 50% - just to hold market share. Profits? Vapor, like a crack pipe: gone.
At that point... might as well just start up a whole new brand: they can't hold present price points because guess who else is already in Mexico? China - and their raw materials can be pumped over there below cost [if need be]... and Deere gets no portion. I think a Mexico move ends the company in about 15 years, as everyone else snags replacement/upgrade buys from other offshored manufacturers.
This will hurt the farmer. The company does not pay Tariff taxes. The consumer who buys the product does.
