So true I even found out they nerfed areas where you could auto spawn xp in the unseeing eye quest I mean they did a good job at enhancing things but I wonder what all they changed
@@An_Ianvery true! Neera talks like a nowadays kids, really kill all the medieval and good dialog immersion of the game.. Also, she ruins the tranquility of beregost
I went to the trouble of manually replacing these shitty cutscenes with the original ones, only for Prime Games to randomly decide to update the game (what the hell is there even to update, the EE is 12 years old!) and I'm back at square one with this crap. I never even thought to back them up somewhere since I never assumed I might lose them. Jesus.
By the way, an interesting fact that very few people know - there is an unreleased version of BG1 for the PlayStation 1, which contains several additional cinematics.

I knew something was missing when I replayed BG some time back, and the interface was changed as well, I thought the enhanced edition only changes the resolution hahaha
These original cinematics are so good. I wish Beamdog had left them alone

@@yarpen26 im pretty sure there should be a mod somewhere restoring the old cutscenes
The original cutscenes had such a dark and foreboding atmosphere, the new and bad illustrations can't convey that in any way, sadly.
They are speed feces drawings with barely any accompanying animation.
By the way, an interesting fact that very few people know - there is an unreleased version of BG1 for the PlayStation 1, which contains several additional cinematics.
I've only played with the Enhanced Edition but these are way cooler than what Beamdog put in there
Played BG enjanced edition last year first time ever playing it. These cutecnees are so awesome. Really wish Beamdog hadn't changed them.
Thanks for recording these for history!

So much better than enhanced version. you should be able to use both. i love the black isle and tsr videos they are awesome.
Man, villains back in those days were just plain evil and they loved being evil. Throughout that whole intro, Sarevok's having a blast.
Beamdog's cinematics look like s*** even with this outdated quality these are superior by far. Especially opening and ending
Beamdog really screwed up the cut scenes with the enhanced edition
