This was an enjoyable stream. This Benzinger Gap1 is an amazing watch that offers excellent workmanship for the money. Even Tom Mosso was impressed by this watch. Never get tired seeing pictures of this watch, front or back.

I spoke with Jochen Benzinger at his workshop and he admitted that the GAP 1 design is indeed a tribute to George Daniels whom he admires dearly. I ordered one myself and have no issues with the design, it's very pleasing to look at. As for the moment, I don't think it is a modified 649x, this one beats at 28800, and fits nicely in a 39mm case, unless the modification is super substantial, either way, it's been worked on by the Habrings and my mind is very at ease with that :)
