This was excellent. Taily-Po has terrified me since the Scholastic Book Fair brought us “More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.” As a one of the only monsters that had a habit of coming into houses (that I knew of) I was certain my parents’ log cabin in the woods would provide no protection at night. What a great take on an old nightmare. Great work! ❤
Every time another one of these folk tale creepy crawlies finds its way out of my memory and into these stories, Old Gods sets another hook in my very soul. ❤
Howdy! I tell Appalachian stories myself (mostly spooky Haint stories) but, also ones about the good ole days. Truly enjoyed this. God bless and have a good'n
I live in the area and love hearing about the haints, primordial gods, and other spirits in our mtns. Reminds me of listening to the old timers stories and warnings as why things are done certain ways. Thank you
Working nights has it’s advantages sometimes. Getting to listen to a fresh Old gods episode near the end of my shift is one of those advantages.

Mr. Po...so good to hear from you, as the last time we met, I was but a child. I feared you but also envied your powers. Welcome back, my friend...
