Almighty God, I need not be afraid, for You are the Master of heaven and earth. I pray for Your protection from the dangers of these severe thunderstorms.
Calm the winds and rains with Your mighty hand. Quiet the rumbling thunder and flashing lightning that You command. Though the tempest rages, shelter me and my loved ones beneath the safety of Your wings.
For those in the path of these storms, I pray for deliverance from harm. Guide them to shelter and keep them from peril. Empower the first responders and utility crews as they work to keep communities safe.
When the storm has passed, may we emerge with gratitude for Your provision and marvel at the wonders of Your creation. Until then, I place my faith and trust in You, my rock and refuge in times of trouble.
I pray this in the powerful name of Jesus, the One who calmed the raging seas. Amen.
