Nice little credit to the opposing coach for being able to motivate and inspire his team towards victory. If only Brian was able to do that these days...
@@jrokur551 It's a coaches job to get the most out of the players. Virtually every single player on the roster has regressed on quality over the last few years and not just the old ones. He is not setting up the team tactically for success and he is not motivating the team to play above their individual talent level. Necaxa is also a mid to lower table team in Liga MX. So it's not like they're playing a team that is up and down the roster superior to ours, yet we still get spanked at home.
@@pugetsoundwaves how can he do that when the owners don’t have the same drive to get good players that challenge the young ones. We have middling players who keep on holding onto their starting spot, less now than before, because of the ccl win.
@@pugetsoundwaves he’s to do the best he can with the players he’s got. Once the fans are fed up, the coach is usually the scapegoat. No doubt Schmetzer’s contract will be up for revision at the end of the year.
Galaxy will completely cook us up on the counter and their runs in behind. How many games have we watched this season where we pass side to side, can’t beat the press or marking, go back to Ragen, go out wide, RETURN to the mid and repeat? At this point I’m in favor of sitting deep, low block, and hitting on the counter. We don’t have creativity in possession.
Getting beat on the counter again is disappointing. Looking ahead to LAFC matchup in US Open Cup, I think a 3-5-2 approach is the way to go to counter LAFCs counter-attacking approach. JB, Ragen, and YGA as center backs, CR7 and Nouhou as wingbacks, JP, Obed, and Rusnak in the midfield, and Morris and Ruidiaz up top. Like it or not, in must-win games the tactics might just have to be defensive/boring if you want to win games.
3-5-2 would fix ALL OF THIS. Also, wasting 15 seconds to hit a 60 yard pass to Jordan and creating a half chance from that is better than spending 5 min possessing and end up not being able to break into the 18. Possession is not the name of the game, scoring more goals is.

He has subpar players coasting on a ccl victory. Even he himself has said he goes and asks for new players but was dismissed.

Such a crazy turnaround in this match. Pedro was doing well until he wasn’t. Just hope he is ok. He had such a great goal!
We needed Ruidíaz

I do like his accountability.
Spanked

Too bad Schmetzer didn’t have the Sounders ready to play. Terrible lineup. This team sucks. Galaxy will kick our ass at home
