Red White and Blue is my favorite thift store in NJ. I NEVER go to any goodwills. Their prices at RWB are great and so are the finds. My best find from RWB, this year was a Moncler Black Puffer Jacket - like new for $10!!! I sold it for $850 plus shipping. I know its not a vintage MCM but still. One of my best flips! The joke in my family is that if you make a wrong turn in the Burgh, you end up on Mount Washington. Glad you saw the view!
Yep on that. I never thought I'd miss Pittsburgh as much as I do. Moved back to MN after husband passed. Is Point State Park still there & the riverboats? Loved Mt. Washington, the fresh food Saturday market, the museums, etc.

I think our Pittsburgh Goodwill stores are overpriced for the most part. Every once-in-a-while I'll find a good buy. I'm so glad you enjoyed your time in our city!

I have that exact same Alpaca cardigan. I got mine at Goodwill, and every time I wear it I receive compliments on it!

Philly Girl here, and my city’s got a bit of a rivalry with Pittsburgh. But I’ve got to give props to Mahla & Co. Antiques. That shop was fantastic!

I’m from north central Pennsylvania; and some of those Goodwills remind me of my local Goodwill stores . . . a whole lot of nothing! Loved, loved, loved that first antique shop. Amazing stuff! I googled Ned Wert as I love abstract paintings, and see he just passed away January 9, 2022.
Our Goodwills give a whole new meaning to "Junk" stores!!😣

I am from Pittsburgh and grew up in Mt. Washington it looks like that is where you were on the overlooks. There is one other one but if you're that close to Mt. Washington then 51 is down the long hill. That one is huge and I have not been there for such a long time. Hope you enjoyed looking down on the city and enjoyed Pittsburgh

I am so glad in th uk charity shops are in general small.... because I would buy so much stuff if i was living in the US! I can't believe the size of some of these stores!!!
That particular Red White and Blue Thrift store is The Best thrift store in Pittsburgh. I’ve found amazing antique and vintage finds there!

Ned O Wert passed away January 9th this year sad to say. His artwork is beautiful though! And maybe even more valuable now.
Our Goodwill's in Northern Michigan are not nearly as full as yours are. I do find things here and there, but nothing like your finds!

That first shop is the most fascinating I have ever seen but the prices are terrifying!
I know Don Drumm! He’s from my hometown of Akron Ohio. Sat with him and his wife and daughter at a wedding reception once. (Believe me, when they walked in with their gifts in Don Drumm shopping bags, everyone was jealous of the bride and groom! LOL) His work is so unique and easily identifiable.
How awesome!! I just picked up my first Don Drumm piece recently! It will make an appearance in a video very soon 🙌

We have Value Village where I live. All of these types of places can only be as good as what gets donated. If you live in a more affluent area then obviously they’ll have better product and vice versa. We are middle class farming here and that’s definitely reflected. What’s too bad is that the prices they are charging are now out of reach for those who were their original demographic. In fact the “ good stuff” is practically retail! The poorer folks can’t afford to shop there anymore unless they buy the “ crap” that should have been garbaged. Love your channel Laura, you are a breath of joy! ❣️🇨🇦

Pittsburgh is about 4 hours away from the crazy lamp lady.
I went to red white and blue shop. Love it!!! I got a pure stone necklace. Small stones all the same size. Greens. cold to touch. Now I live on the other side of the world it has a special memory of that time in that shop which I really liked a lot.

I’m not surprised you are finding mid-century modern gems in Pittsburgh. There was a lot of wealth in Pittsburgh during the heydays of US Steel and the industries that depended on the steel industry.
