The MAC Quantum Profile is an extremely bright LED profile that combines top-quality white light with a fast, smooth CMY color mixing system and crisp gobo projection on surfaces as well as mid-air. It is comparable to a 700/800W discharge lamp fixture, but with all the benefits of the latest LED technology.

dee fresh It was programmed on a grandMA 2 console with it's own effects engine.

Lighting companies like Martin got greedy and charged too much for their products. You can't justify a single moving head light costing more than a mid range automobile. These companies have no one to blame for the influx of Chinese knock-off products but themselves. Bring on the imports and watch the big guys get squeezed out.

You pay for the quality of the fixture and service/support. You don`t get that from the knockoffs.
you think Martin is the only company to do this? Chinese knock-off companies aren't going to squeeze these guys out; they're going to make production cheaper for big companies while they maintain their brand image and proprietary software. Moreover, certain companies make their gear in-house. they're welcoming the chinese knock offs if it brings production down for them as well

i heard one of these lights are 31 inches tall, DAMN i have never seen a light that big, and this current light I have from ADJ that is 15 inches tall is already big and heavy enough. I see why some of these are atleast 2 grand to atmost 16 grand! Even with al lthat weight if it can move that fast, imagine getting your hand caught in it!
The adj 16rx 22inch and that’s pretty big
The Philips vl4000 spot is 32 inch
My biggest light is some cheap 100w led spotlight off Aliexpress called a “lyre led 100w moving head”
Are these the built in hobos. If not what was the rotating wheel loaded with.

$8795.00 a piece they can't be selling enough of these to make a profit, especially with all of the competition...I don't see how these companies are staying in business.
Surprisingly these are actually quite popular we see them loads here in the UK
Production companies usually buy them and rent them out to concerts and tours, so the money comes back. Its like buying a house and renting it out
