OM! Same here! I watercolor as well and have wanted to try tattooing for some time. Just started watching videos and learning. My oldest knows how and has loaned me her machine. It’s an old style. She says the newer pen style would be better. So about to order one. But I definitely will try with hers. She wanted me to just tat her and I’m like no, not until I get the feel of it. 🤦🏽♀️ This guy is an amazing, knowledgeable teacher. 🤗🤗🤗👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Have you started and how is it going if you have? 😁
this makes me feel more.. at ease. i say this because I’m 21 in April and still have yet to find a career. ik tattooing isnt a “solid income” many say but i want to try before shying out from trying. i’m even going to try to be an esthetician. ik im still young but i have to push myself instead of being lazy like i have been since graduating high school. if i dont try hard now, then when? idek how to get life started. i’m all alone no family or friends. it’s hard. but i hope life will be easier in the near future
Never stop learning. Always stay open to new ideas and techniques. It's how I live. No matter how long I've been tattooing I'll always be open to learning and the fact that you have created these awesome videos is fantastic.
I’m an apprentice and started on fake skin recently. This video is so well executed! The adherence to strict hygiene practices is excellent too.this is something I have found other tutorials don’t address! The information is spot on. Love it!
Awesome to hear you're an apprentice, and I'm glad you found the video helpful! Hygiene is super important, and I'm glad I could cover that for you. Keep practicing, and you'll nail it! 😃
ThatS so cool , I found your videos and I just can’t thank you enough , I saw and first thing I thought it was , look , another sad miserable tattooer with free time , making videos online , to have more free time when all this people will be tattooing at home , for less money than him 😂😂😂
I am a 58 yr old grandma learning to Tatt. Thank you for explaining everything. I have a mentor and I practice daily. I open in my friends Barbershop come January 2025. I am an accomplished artist. So, this is a new way to share my art.
The best advice I've received regarding a 1RL is to practice on a green grape. Once you can tattoo a green grape without marking the grape flesh beneath the skin and without slicing up the skin of the grape, you will be less likely to damage human skin using it. 😊
OMG. I watched too many videos as a beginner to learn how to become a tattoo artist. Be honest, this is the best practice video I've found on RUclips. So detailed. The way you teach is amazing; I love it. I really appreciate you for the amazing video. 😊
I'm a beginner. Seen untold number of instructional tattoing videos and I just learned more in this video than i did in all the others combined. Was so frustrated I was considering quiting. After watching this video, I am hooked again. I love how you do close ups while you are working. Exactly the style and kind of instructional video I was looking for. Awsome job. Cant wait to watch all your videos.
This is the best channel to learn how to tattoo. All camera shots are clear and perfectly show the tattooing process even in slow motion, which allows you to better understand what is happening during the tattooing and the instructions themselves are the easiest to understand and at the same time the most extensive explanations available on RUclips. Thank you for your great work ❤ thanks to you I am starting to learn how to tattoo!
I'm a learner, and I honestly learned a lot from this video. Simply wonderful, it is impossible to explain it better, so much quality... so much subtlety in detail... impeccable.
Apprentice here! I am kind of in love with the micro shots of all of the tattoo supplies. It adds so much beauty and order to what is normally a fast goopy inky process lol. Also I appreciate how slowly and clearly you go over everything it is truly and undeniably an instructional video. Thanks!
Tattooing has always been something I've wanted to do. I draw and been told many times over the years that I'm really good and should take up tattooing! I've spent the last couple of months watching video after video of tattooing for beginners, trying to gain all the information I possibly can before I start buying kits, to make sure it's 100% something I'm going to be able to achieve! I'm a first time mother and as any parent knows, it's not cheap having kids! 😂 It's going to take me a while to gather up all the equipment and everything else I need to start tattooing, but I'm determined to eventually get there! Thankyou for your detailed videos!
I really appreciate how clear, concise and to the point you present the lesson. Everyone needs to have the basics starting out and I feel like this video gives people an informative resource to build those skills.
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled to hear that you found the lesson helpful. Starting with the basics is key, and I'm here to provide a solid resource for everyone looking to build those skills. 😊👍
@@Fani_Meherzi_Tattoo what affordable machines would you suggest for the starting tattoo artist in their learning stage? I have a CNC Q2 and a Mast Archer 4.2mm. The CNC w2 has three different stroke lengths (3.0, 3.5 and 4.0) and the mast is a 4.2 that seems to have the umpf to throw down thick solid lines.
I’m already tattooing, but I watch videos to see if I can improve my techniques little by little. I went through and watched this and it reminded me of how much it’s important to be precise with the basics
I appreciate guys like you showing people who really want to learn how to tattoo doing lines I’ve been doing tattoos almost 10 years and I still have problems getting the right I really do appreciate these videos. Thank you very much.

I have been looking for easy to understand and helpful tattooing videos for YEARS! Your videos are the BEST I have ever come across. hi, how many milimeters do you have the needles sticking out? you go like what, 3mm deep? how do you control the amount of needle between the skin and the tip exactly all the time to prevent blowouts? just by looking? i imagine thats so hard.
So how can you tell if you’ve tattooed too deep? Ive done a dozen of my own and I never really watched a video until now. (Genius I know) I also noticed I have to go back over my lines multiple times to get them to look thick like yours.
I just started, my brother has been tattooing for about 20 years. i’m so excited to get into this. I did my first tattoo today, thank you for the tips. and the stencil. much love!

So glad I found you channel. They are the most detailed and informative I've come across for beginners. Subbed, liked and let a 2min long form advert roll through... almost as painful as a tattoo!
So far this has been very informative. Most of the videos I have seen did not mention using the shader for better lines, however my friend told me that the other day
hell yeah!! im so excited to finally start tattooing. i’ve been doing more on cheap fake skin, and i think im honestly getting better as time goes on. im doing the best i can. i’m really new to it, but im just hoping for the best as time moves on. i want to invest is better fake skin so i can do more and do better when it comes to depth. i know im definitely not GREAT at it, but practice is practice i guess. thanks for the tutorial!! i’ll definitely be coming back to this again and again.
That's the spirit! It's awesome to see your excitement and dedication to improving your skills. Practice truly makes perfect, and you're on the right path. Investing in better fake skin is a great idea to help you work on your depth. Don't worry about being perfect right away; progress takes time. Feel free to revisit the tutorial as much as you need. Keep that positive attitude, and you'll continue to get better with each session. Best of luck on your tattooing journey! 🖌👏😊
This is exactly the tutorial I was looking for! Thank you for showing the difference between the different needles! A couple of follow ups: 1. Do you ever change the voltage between the different needles? (Higher volts for thicker needles/lower volts for thicker needles?) 2. For thinner needles like 3RL, how do you determine you’re at the right depth, is it the same as other needles? Or do you just remain cautious and lighten up the pressure/try not to go too deep?
I work always with 8 Volts but uf you go on lower volts for thinner lines, you can makte every line with same speed. But i leve it at 8 Volts and go faster with thinner lins
The amount of info at which you explain your process is amazing. Thanks for going into needle depth. That in combo with the great footage of your tattooing gives me a good idea on the perfect depth to tattoo. Gonna start my first practice session on fake skin today!
Yooooooo been practicing with round shaders on synth skin for a min trying to figure out why I was seeing the needle structure 🤦♂️ thanks for confirming that!

But i leve it at 8 Volts and go faster with thinner lins
tremendo tutorial, estoy empezando en el tattoo y me super sirvió, muchas gracias. Saludos desde Argentina.
So helpful and nice video ❤
The amount of info at which you explain your process is amazing. Thanks for going into needle depth. That in combo with the great footage of your tattooing gives me a good idea on the perfect depth to tattoo. Gonna start my first practice session on fake skin today!
Yooooooo been practicing with round shaders on synth skin for a min trying to figure out why I was seeing the needle structure 🤦♂️ thanks for confirming that!
This was extremely helpful! Thanks for the in depth about needle sizes and the organization in techniques with size variations. Keep inspiring. 🙏🏼
