As a Parents, there will be either the father or mother became the person to punish the child if the child do anything wrong or others, but why did Chantalle end up hospitalized for a week.? Why did he cane her till serious injury?
Ya lol, but for me as a father in future I would usually just cane my naughty, rebellious or stubborn children normally to teach them what is right or wrong! Cos I also do believe in caning, but not overboard or in an abusive way! I would usually ground my children from going out with me and my future wife if they don't work hard or fail their studies!
She should not air her dirty laundry in public..trying to portray as a victim and gain attention??

I am also a dad with a teenager son. Never in my life I will believe in canning to let your child learnt. Yes, I agreed sometimes in parenting either mother or father has to play good and bad guy. But it's all about communicating and teaching to your child definitely not by canning. Certain moral punishments should be given for repeat offense and encouragement words for things that your kids has done well. I believe this should be the correct way.
yes agreed , my childhood had a few caning and honestly it didnt help because there wasnt any communication at all.

Too bad you got a f.up father. I never hit and scold my daughter even once only briefly criticize her at times. Always told her to do best if her best is not good enough so be it. Turned out she got very good result for her PSLE, GCE O & A level with straight A's.
I blame the education system for students to strive better then others and hence parents get so stressed and had to abuse their kids to this extent. Sad for all parties concerned parents wants their kids to have a better future and for the kid its mental and physical torture.
