Jurong Region Line currently under construction will also have a "shell" station between JS2 and JS3. but since it is above ground there really isnt a shell as there is no structure built but the tracks have space allocated between them for where the station will be.
@rosnajulia canberra is only build afterwards. This will be the same situation, no station will be build. But unlike dover, canberra and ns6 which are side platform, they allocated space for the station to be build as island platform instead of side platform

The reason Ten Mile Junction Station lost its ridership may be due to the opening of Downtown Line Stage 2. With the DTL Station of Bukit Panjang, people would rather walk to Junction 10 to and fro instead of going to the LRT Station and then spending a few minutes waiting for the LRT.
I hope that the NE2 Station on the North East Line will be Kampong Bahru MRT that will have an interchange station with the future Seletar-Bukit Merah MRT Line in the future.
If you look at their station numbers on the map, you will see if they are full or need infill. Currently the EWL is at its max and has no plans to extend further!
there are some senior train enthusiasts saying that they saw tunnel rings meant for station NE2 but construction plans were later cancelled. The rumored site of the station is very close to the CCL6 Keppel Station (Opening in 2026)

Ten mile Junction did close in December 2010 to December 2011 for upgrading works of Junction 10
