Yes.
First of, while PB is 22y.o hes only gotten about 2k minutes of A-team football across Benfica, us and loans. There is still a lot of room for development.
2nd, CCV and Jota were outliers, we also got Palma and a combination of Lagerbielke+ Holm for similar sums. Some reports have also said that we managed to lower the fee to 3.5million in which case its a nobrainer imo.
Reasons I dont want PB would be that he is not a replacement for MOR and the minutes he will be getting should imo go to youngsters like Lawal or Kelly.
What if he's a better player than Kelly or Lawal though?
@@20MinuteTims probably is but at least Kelly is good enough to be our 5th choice Midfielder, with a bit of development possibly more. Besides, if we cant even give our best academy players a bit of minutes in domestic games what kind of message does that send to young prospects. Might as well let Leverkusen sign them for nothing
